RaceDeck VS. SwissTrax?

Hey guys, Im currently building a house that will be done in Nov, and Im planning on using garage tiles as my floor treatment after alot of searching around, but I am kind of stuck...

I have been looking into both RaceDeck and SwissTrax. I REALLY like both products but they both have their ups and downs...

The RaceDeck for the price and the reputation. The SwissTrax for the color selection, quality, and the fact that they are made 50 mins from my place.

I have two designs, 1 from each company that I love. Here they are
RaceDeck
12x12" FreeFlow tiles

SwissTrax
16x16" RibTrax tiles

I designed the SwissTrax. My wife, the RaceDeck. I love them both, mine because it has the colors of the stripe on the wall and I love hers because of the very neutral, simple colors. With hers I could always paint the walls differently and it would most likely go with it. And it matches our cars currently.

What do you guys think? Which do you think would be the best choice? Any words from experience?:thumbup::thumbup:

You live in Canada or somewhere south of the border? ;)

Thanks for considering RaceDeck  - We have many color options to choose from and if there a color in particular you are looking for, let us know and we may be able to make it for you.

But were it my new house being built, I'd just have the floor porcelain tiled.

Im not sure that I like the look of porclean tiles in a garage... It just doesnt belong in my eyes.

I personally went with SwissTrax but prefer the colors of the race deck design

You pretty pleased with the swisstrax?

I live in SoCal. According to their site, they are manufactured in Indio, CA. I used to live out by you guys in UT. Id love to know more about the special colors if you guys are actually able to do that!

I'm a RaceDeck guy. For me, that "reputation" thing is a big deal. I like the product and have been very impressed with the company's customer service from the top down. I've had mine in for a year and been very happy.

Both companies have great people and an outstanding reputation. I have seen both companies go well beyond their responsibilities to service a customer. Either way you will have an outstanding company behind the product you sell.

They do not manufacture there, that is the warehouse and office.. they claim made in 'North America'.

When planning my shop I got samples of both Swisstrax and Racedeck. If I hadn't decided against tiles I would have gone with the Swisstrax, at least using the open grid style. Swisstrax tiles are deeper and thus visually hide the concrete better. It also seems they will be easier to replace due to a better snapping mechanism. I also liked the fact that they had rubberized tiles that would be slightly softer on the feet for working in front of benches, etc. where one would stand for a long time.

In our showroom here we used black landscape fabric underneath the ribbed pattern. We had some nasty concrete that I probably should have used the Diamabrush on and we just did not have time. IF I am standing right on top and can see through, that's what I see now.

Great transformation and yes the cars do look better!

I'm not sure you can wrong with either brand. My last garage was SwissTrax because I found them used for a great price. That being said my new garage will have whatever is the most cost effective.
