Rust Bullet for concrete and existing sealer

So after doing some research I'd like to apply Rust bullet to my 820sf garage floor. I'm not planning on anything fancy, just a coupe coats of the metallic grey. I purchased this house a few months ago, and it was build in 1994. I would say the concrete is in good shape, however, there is some type a sealer on the garage floor, but that's all I know about it. You can see from the picture that it looks like there may have been some type of prior grinding given the marks.

The Rust Bullet faq says that the sealer should be removed in most cases, but I'm not sure how to interpret "most", is that me? Also, the faq says that a penetrating sealer can be applied prior to Rust Bullet to prevent too much absorption of the paint. I'm a little confused. Needless to say removing the sealer certainly increases the work necessary so it would be nice to avoid. Looking for advice...

If there is a sealer it is important to remove it. Typically this is easiest to do with a Diamabrush grinder. It will also necessitate 3 coats instead of two because the first coat will soak in.

Have you water tested the floor to see if water sits or penetrates?

Yea... Here's an image of a drop of water after about a minute, I'm pretty confident there's a sealer. Thanks for replying. My motivation for Rust Bullet was the potential for limited prep work. I was hoping I could put Rust Bullet down on top of the sealer, but it looks like any garage coating is going to require getting rid of the sealer. piss!

I was going to get the 5 gallon container for 800sq+, is that still enough given the 3 coats?
