Forum width?

Is there a way to increase the width of the threads/posts on the forum? I just got a higher resolution monitor (2560x1540) and the width of the forum is minuscule relative to the resolution of the monitor. At 1920x1080 it wasn't all that noticeable.

I looked through all of the options/settings. I am on other vBulletin forums as well and do not have this issue. The forum takes up the entire width of the display.

See attached pictures.

I don't know how to change the width alone. If you want to increase/decrease the size of everything you can hold "Control" while rolling the mouse wheel.

I know about that trick, but then the letters are an inch tall and it defeats the purpose of the higher resolution monitor.

I don't understand why in 2016 it doesn't adapt to the width of the user's display like every other forum I use.

OK..........Try this. Press and hold Ctrl and then + or - to adjust the forum size on your screen.

Sorry I missed you posted this.

Both methods should rectify the issue you have. Once you have it adjusted to the size you like it should be OK. If not you can adjust again.

This is what happens when I try that. The forum is zoomed to 250% of its original size. Note the text size of the clock/date and bookmarks at the top for comparison:

The forum is run by people that aren't all that good with computers. Sadly AFAIK you just have to deal with it.

I would tend to agree with that. Clearly vBulletin is capable of adapting to any resolution. Why is is fixed to ~800 pixels wide doesn't make any sense. Does anyone still actually have an 800x600 monitor? Even if they do, it shouldn't be an issue if the forum adapts to the width of the user's resolution.

Well guys, I have been running vBulletin forums for years and am very good. In fact if you google "install vbulletin" my youtube video is the 3rd result, CaddymanLNL.

Anyway, if needed I would gladly help the admins here with whatever for free. My suggestions would be a fluid template the same as this one, but just expands, a mobile template that works on phones, and a image resizer plugin which would resize pictures to fit the template and not stretch things like it does now.

Just sayin!

What happens when you set it to 150% ?
90% should be default.

I was hoping for a way widen the forum to show more content like the other vBulletin forums I use to take advantage of the higher resolution monitor. Zooming in/out unfortunately doesn't accomplish this.

I will admit defeat and learn to live with the huge waste of space on the screen. Hopefully someday this forum will update to the current decade.
