Those look to be the nicest toolboxes craftsman has offered in years. Can't quite tell if they are spg international or not.

Don't know anything about them but they are gawd aweful ugly. Black and gold??? Reminds me of John Player Lotus F1 cars of the '70s-80's.

Hopefully they'll offer better color schemes in the very near future...

If anyone is considering these C-Man pro toolboxes, be sure to also look at the Craftsman INDUSTRIAL boxes. They are very nice and I've only seen one in person at Sears Outlet store. Prices were slightly higher than HF but quality seemed very good.

And they were USA made as well. Has anyone seen one of these in person at a store or is this going to be a online only thing. The industrial boxes were really nice. Some were 24" deep plus the grip latch drawer pulls. Much better boxes all around that the HF.

Doubt it'll be more than a few hours after the first one sells that someone will compare them to the HF carts, and I'm curious to see how they compare.

Has anyone seen or own one of the newer Craftsman EDGE series boxes? I've never seen them in stores and I wondered where they fall in the Craftsman line. It's interesting they're putting out these new boxes when it seems Sears and Craftsman is "dying".

My bottom box is an EDGE series. Build is pretty solid, 100# slides with double slides on the deep drawers, grip latch system. The only real complaint is full length top drawer on a 52" box is not as stable as I had hoped. But for the price point I picked it up for, I'm really not unhappy (~$650). It is built as well as the 26" heavy duty I had previously, but the slides are nicer and the latch system.

got the same 52" EDGE series rolling bottom box. love it. I laugh at all the **** spewed craftsman's way on gj as if everything they sell is the base model stuff at the stores. wait for when they are on sale. they alternate between full price and 50% off.

I sure hope you guys can read between the lines here, looks like a china MADE box to me, no matter how they dance around it.

Something done in the US is better than nothing.

Sure, parts are going to be made overseas where the metal is cheaper, because people aren't willing to cough up money for 100% US made Craftsman. If they're looking at Craftsman, then they're also going to be looking at cost, which makes 100% US made a disadvantage. But at least the pieces are put together here.

I've been trying to explain this for some time. Sears cannot compete with the cheaper Chinese/Tiawanese made HF, Husky, Kobalt, etc. It's not about them trying to make more money off the same tool that used to be USA made, but rather any money at all. Everyone also seems to forget that Husky and Kobalt were both made in USA not so long ago... :dunno:

The phone is pictured because it has the ability to connect to your phone and then lock and unlock the box from your phone. I really hope these are available in stores.

AFAIK the Industrial Series are the red version of the Premium Heavy Duty. And the EDGE are also the same except for the corner trim extrusions. All have the same Griplock/Dynaglide drawers as well. I just got my 52" last week, and it is really nice....

The only time I've ever seen an Industrial box was at a Sears Outlet. I researched it and the model I saw was the "3000" series aka the lowest model in the Industrial line. 85lb drawer capacity vs the 75lbs the regular "heavy duty" boxes they sell in all Sears stores.

The industrial or professional boxes as their names have changed over the 20 or so years they have been around were offered in three sizes. 36x21, 46×24 and 56x30. Same thing as a waterloo magnum series box. From specs and size, they are pretty close to a truck box. Over the last few years they seem to float between being discontinued and being available again. Under the newer craftsman industrial line, I believe they are sold as the 5000 line with the yellow submarine boxes they had in the stores year ago being the 7000. These new boxes look to be something new. My guess is sears has learned that the 30" boxes don't sell very good for the their general customer base and therefore doesn't really dive into it. While I can't really judge these new boxes until I see one, but from the looks sears finally came out with a good box. I don't think the older grip latch boxes were bad, but the last redesign has some crappy drawer layouts.

This is a Waterloo built box, and Waterloo actually defied most American companies and actually moved plants BACK into the US from areas like Mexico and China.

All Waterloo boxes are now 100% bent, welded, painted and assembled in Sedalia MO.

And of course some components such as the lock or screws are imported, that's also the case on many truck roll cabs as well.

The box pictured looks too small for a main box, but would be great for quick access tools.

An American-based company

Waterloo proudly employs Americans in our Sedalia, Missouri plant to manufacture many of our storage products. Waterloo purchases 100% of our cold roll mill steel from American steel mills.

As the largest component of our products, steel accounts for roughly 40% of our total product cost.

Starting with large rolls of steel, we have in-house capabilities to slit, stamp, form, weld, and paint. Waterloo employees assemble and inspect the products, and then package, store, and ship them.

All to bring you a domestically-manufactured product line with quality and durability baked into its essence.

Look for the “Made in the USA with US and Global Components” statement on product pages within this website. We are continually working to certify even more of our products to qualify for this statement.

Even our products marked “Made in the USA with US and Global Components” may have some minor components that are purchased from certified vendors outside of the United States.

Our manufacturing facility is in Sedalia, Missouri, and we have an office in Waterloo, Iowa. Sales managers, sales representatives, and distributors are located around the world.
