You guys know that you can mix and match? It seems to take 50% off the total even when the items are not the same.

Apparently thes grinders come equipped with a "grinding" guard as opposed to a "cutting" guard? Must be out of the loop because I've never heard of such a thing.

My cordless grinders come with two guards and the "cutting guard" fully encases the back side of the disc

Just ordered two of the 7 amp versions. Shipping date was some time in October. We'll see when they actually show up.
Same here, I ordered one 6 and one 7 amp. The 6 should be here next week the 7 is slated to arrive sometime in Oct.

Thanks OP for the heads up. I got one for myself and the freebee goes to dad or FIL for Christmas.

Both my orders have shipped. It would be greasy, but I wonder what would happen if you tried to return the second item.

It would eventually ruin it for the rest of us. Just put it on C/L and sell it locally. Besides, this way you can have fun with the scammers when they want to send you a $10,000 money order with a refund check for the difference.

Works on the two angle grinders, the multitool, the planer, the corded impact wrench and the hammer drill.

looks like the deal is over on the 6AMP version....also looks like there are a TON of amazon vendors who bought them and are now reselling them individually for more than the orignal price

I've never seen 7 pages of "New" buying choices for an item before.

You can still get 2 of the 7AMP versions but shipping is going to be a while.

Yup, I'm in the same boat. I might just have to jump on this before I blow out my current HF and need to buy another for what I could have bought 2 of these for.

I'm just not sure if I should opt for the 6 or 7 amp versions.

I wasn't sure which one to go for either, so as per GJ advice, i got both. 4 should last me.

I personally thought about it for about 30 seconds and passed. This deal is only good to me if I planned to resell and make a few dollars.

I bought one of the 7amp PC grinders a while back and it was as big of a POS as the cheap HF ones. It vibrated way too much, had too little power, and was way too loud. I have several nice grinders and the difference is way too much to even own one of these for free to me. If all you know are HF grinders and you were lucky enough to get a good one, I guess you could consider this a good deal. But every cheap grinder I have had has been horrible.

As far as the cutting disc issue goes, I bet they make the guard that way on purpose, becuase you will be disappointed in the cutting performance.

Either way, good luck, many of you will get ****, a few may get a balanced grinder though.

I agree - I am in the market for some new grinders as I burned up (literally!) a HF one a few weeks back and the other one sounds like it's about to explode. They've been used and abused pretty bad though. I've been looking at Dewalt/Makita/etc. lately but picked up a couple of these 7A in the meantime to get my by. I still plan to get a quality one and these two can hang on my welding cart as secondary grinders with different wheels installed on each.

Is this still working for anyone? Every time I try to add 2 of 1 item or 1 of 2 different items, I never see the promo in the cart. Even went as far as placing an order and the discount never showed up.

The seller MUST be Amazon, not fulfilled by Amazon or any 3rd party seller. Amazon doesn't always choose itself as the main seller, so you might have to look in the 3rd party sellers to find Amazon. You do not need to complete checkout to see the discount. Just reach the final checkout page. Combining qty of one of two different items only works on limited things. I just checked the 7a Grinder and it works fine. The 6amp Grinder and the planer are sold out.

Thanks. I noticed I was able to get it to work on the grinder. Really wanted the triple reduction drill, though. That doesn't seem to work

FYI, my 7amp grinders came with two guards. One for grinding wheels and one for cutoff wheels. The paddle switch has a safety toggle as well to prevent accidental engagement. They are pretty nice for effectively being $20 a pop.
