I have the wood part that holds the drawer sliders painted black, & installed.
Now to sand & paint the drawer itself.

I recently purchased a mini-fridge from Craigslist for my cold beverages.
I originally was going to build a simple frame from 2 x 4's to raise it off the floor a bit, mostly because I'm old and it's a long ways down there.
I got started, and it evolved into this.

It didn't cost me much.
The frame work was made from discarded grooved banding boards from work.
The only thing I didn't have sitting around and had to purchase were the caster wheels, and some 1/4" x 4" to make the edges look nice.

Mind you I don't have much skills in woodworking, but my wife said it looked nice when it was finished.

Love it. Iwas thinking of doing the exact same thing for the exact same reason when I stumbled on this.! I am inspired to do mine now.

Ryanble,
Thanks for stopping by!

Many of the things I do are something that someone else has done already, & I adapt it to my needs.
I'm glad a project of mine is inspiration for you!

The east side rain gutter on my garage has plugged up twice this summer from leaves & small pieces of branches blown down during storms.

This week I installed Gutter Guard by Invisaflow. The installation was simple enough. I did some research & decided to fasten them with screws, because some of the people in the feedback comments recommended that.

I have some concern that with the Gutter Guard installed, and a heavy rain, the rain-water can not get down into the gutter quickly enough & will overflow. I have that condition already when the gutter plugs up, so time will tell if this is a viable solution.

I'll be watching to get some feedback on how it works. I hope it solves your problem.

Nice job on the gutter guards. Where did you purchase them? On line or at a home center?

I have used the cheap basic guards (both plastic and metal) and have always removed them since I still have debris accumulate in them.

I look for your online review during the upcoming fall season.

captain14,
Thank you!

I bought them at Lowes.

Yesterday my wife and I went to the Hoosier Old Wheels Car Show in Plymouth, Indiana with the Vega.
I found this in the swap meet, and made it mine for $7.00.
It's missing the screw retaining clip, but it's in decent shape.
Some cleanup, paint, & then mount it on my workbench.

Thanks for the gutter guard info. Field trip to Lowes this week.

Good find on the vice and for $7.00!

captain14,
Thanks for stopping by!

Hope the gutter guard will work out for you.
We've got about an inch of rain over last weekend, and no debris in the gutter, and very little wedged into the screen.
I meant to get out there with an umbrella while it was raining to see if the rain would run right over the top, but I forgot.
The ground below didn't have a drip line so I assume it did not run over.

I think it was you that asked me about getting a vise and I said something about not needing one.
This one had my name on it. It was calling out to me the instant I spotted it. Really LOL

I disassembled the vise, and shotblasted it today.
Paint will be next.
I'm thinking the same grey I used on the workbench drawer.

The vise is painted and partially reassembled.
I used the same Rustoleum grey I used on the workbench drawer.
I put a coat of boiled linseed oil on the cast surfaces that were intended to be bare.
I'll put on the screw-handle and the jaws once I figure out what is the best way to clean them up.

Here are some things I have done as of late in no particular order.
Put a Mr. Horsepower plate on the front of the Vega.

..
Bolted the vise to the workbench.

..
I took 2 broken office / computer chairs and made 1 good chair using a couple pieces of flat stock & some nuts & bolts.

..
Installed Racedeck flooring in my wife's craft room in the basement.
We have to put on the baseboard molding yet, but my wife loves how it turned out.
I look at it partially as a trial run at maybe installing it in the garage next year.
And YES, the room is WAY out of square.

..

..

..

..
Got a new to me Dremel oscillating tool from Craigslist to cut the door molding higher to be able to slide the flooring underneath it.
It worked really slick... I was impressed how easy it made the task.
