I was drilling mounting holes to mount a cheap bender I bought, to a stand I built 20 years ago. I had a brilliant idea. As I was swearing and sweating, trying to hold constant pressure with my cordless drill, this came to me.

I haven't seen this anywhere. It might save someone from swollen for arms and cramping hand. Just keep slightly applying pressure as you drill. No muss, no fuss. Hope this helps someone

Thanks for the video. I've never seen anything like that. Ivan see where it would be quite useful.

Wasn't very smart drilling at about 5:37 in the video - guess he never heard about drilling a pilot hole.
Well right at 30 seconds prior to that, he mentioned that he wasn't going to apply cutting fluid or drill a pilot hole, so I'd say he has heard of it.

It may be smart drilling but it's not smart photography to mount your camera on your paint shaker.

Sorry. I think I'm having trouble with the camera on my phone. Possibly I had too much caffeine today. Lol

Actually if I hadn't already been familiar with the Rapidrill, I don't think I'd have been able to figure out what was going on in your picture, ha ha.

I used one of those rapid drills at a demo a few years ago. It would definitely come in handy, but the price needs to come way down. I don't remember how much they were, but it was definitely out of line in my opinion.

Just googled it...

$1,059.00

Yea, that's a bit steep. I've got to wonder how much that shortens the life of a bit, and what the cost offset is vs using lubricant and pilot drilling/increasing size.
