Over this past weekend I acid etched and put down three coats of Legacy Industrials Standard Epoxy Sealer in my new garage. I wanted a clear sealer and this product was recommended by Scotty over at Legacy. Concrete was about 70 days old without any stains. I added their fine traction additive for added slip resistance. I was really happy with the results of this product. Here is a picture.

Thank you. I was looking to keep the natural look of concrete with more protection than a penetrating sealer or Arcrylic. Didn't want the cost of a full expo you job.

Looks great! I'm curious though, what extra protection does that give over a good sealer? Won't a sealer prevent oil stains from seeping into the concrete pores?

SEC is a little thinner and not as Chem resistant. Price is much less and holds up better than any acrylic.

What color acid etching did you go with? Do you have a before picture? (I'm sure it looked like gray concrete :D, but I'm a visual person).

This is the before pic. I should have uploaded it but it would only let me attach one. I just used Muratic acid thst I purchased at a pool chemical place locally. I thought it would stay gray but actually came out more brown.

It says in the OP standard epoxy sealer - is this UV safe or would it need a topcoat like other epoxies for UV protection?
