Hi,

I've been looking at this gearwrench wrench:

http://www.autobodydepot.com/KDT-85915_3.html

I need a tool for a specific job i do frequently, which involves getting a really really tight (usually corroded too) 15mm bolt loose which has minimal access.

I can sometimes get them loose using my bluepoint double flexi ratchet wrench. If i take the wheel off i can see the bolt head but need something like the above to get at it.

SO, not having gearwrench in Europe are they decent enough stuff ? I don't believe Snap on make an equivalent which i would prefer purely for warranty purposes. I know it's made in Taiwan which is OK.

You wont go wrong with those. But why pay $50 for one 15mm wrench when you can get both the metric and standard SETS for $193?

True, but we don't have that shop in Europe so add in hefty shipping and import tax and that price isn't so great anymore.

That and i have plenty of other wrenches now.

Sorry, didn't notice your location. Anyway, those wrenches are the real deal.

Stupid suggestion, probably...

www.amazon.co.uk

Search: 15mm Long Double Box End Ratcheting Wrench

I'll bet there is something that will float your boat...

Tekton makes some and so does EZ-Red...

You'll save the taxes that would go to HM Customs, anyway...

They sell GearWrench...

Ended up getting one at the weekend, time will tell if it survives the brutal life it's going to get.

As long as you break the fastener with the fixed box end, then ratchet it off that tool should last quite a while. I have a lot of Gearwrench ratchet wrenches up to 1" and 25mm that are all really good for fast work. The open ends **** for the most part, but over all they are really excellent wrenches. I myself have only broke a few of the smaller ratcheting ends, but I was misusing.

I love the long pattern ratchet wrenches for suspension work because all I have is jackstands and the long patterns make low altitude situations a breeze.
