I guess I better start posting some pictures before this gets out of hand. Opppps, it already is out of hand. At least I have an understanding wife!
I am an old Craftsman tools fan, so if you are too, enjoy. There are other brands, and I'll try to list some of them.
These are from an estate sale today. Total spent was 30.00.

The Wilton vise is nothing special, and I don't see a model number on it yet.
Craftsman: small hammer, oil can, center punch, dbe wrench, tin snips, needle nose pliers, adjustable wrench. Some of the wrenches are: Ford, Plomb, Blue Point, etc. Anyone know what the two 'Forged in USA doe's are in the 4th picture?
The C-clamps are all USA.

I have junk in my blood. At the moment, I'm collecting what I like, and trying to build 3 basic tool sets for my boys. They are grown, but like old tools too. I would sell some stuff, or trade. It just depends.

I went back to same estate sale today, and got this pile for 5 bucks. I've cleaned up a couple already.
I've been looking for one of these heavy duty Craftsman hack saws for a while. It is all clean an prettier now. Pics coming.

Here are a few of the more interesting items.
This screwdriver is pretty primitive. I think Noah probably used it to push that stuff between the planks on his giant boat to keep it water tight.

If you don't think it was Noah's let me know what you do think, home made?

Some interesting stuff, I myself am not really a collector of older tools but a user, most of that stuff I would have walked right by.

I got paw paw, the screwdriver on the bottom yesterday, and maw maw, the one on the top today. Don't know how I missed maw maw yesterday. They are Hold-E-ZEE. The handle comes off, as well as the screw holder. Inside the handle, on the metal it reads: LOK-BLOK. The screw holder reads: UPSON BROS. INC, Rochester, NY. I thought they were cool.

But I can't! It just calls my name out loud. I will clean and polish most of it, and use some. I'll give some away too. My boys like old stuff. At least that's what they are getting for Christmas. I hope they like it.

I understand tools calling for you, I have that problem. When you reach maximum storage capacity, let me know. I have a 32x30 garage full a shed and my half of the bedroom full. My wife said when I go, big auction. I have left a list of what is where and pics! Hate for her to sell for pennies.

Good point on the list. I'll do it one day. I just like using old stuff. I don't own any hand tools made in Japan, China, Tiawahn (Hell, I can't even spell that last place). Probably very few power tools made in those places either. I have a box for the non USA stuff I get by mistake. I own very little new USA stuff, but some.

A local blogger has done a nice write-up on the company: http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.ca/2012/11/vanished-tool-makers-upson-bros-inc.html
