Nothing showy about my cramped little space, but you asked to see the cabinets, so there you go. Mine were all retrieved from the trash before the truck munched them. There is actually a whole wall of cabinets that is not pictured as well. In additon to what is shown.

This started out as just a workbenchand one winter I got bored and added doors to it.
7/16" OSB with a piece of 2x4 ripped down to a 1/4" thick, glued and brad nailed on.

1965 Hygena kitchen cabinets removed from the kitchen when we moved in to the house (if you can see them behind the junk!)

I have the storage cabinets from Lowes. Used 2 2X12's for the counter top and finished with clear poly. I added steel legs to get more height plus it made it easy to level since the legs are adjustable. The tall floor cabinets I added a 2X4 base with casters so I can roll them out to use the space under my stairway platform.

Old cabinets from an apartment complex that was remodeling.....$5 for each one! Most, I've taken the doors off:

& since those photos were made, I've added these lights from Hobby Lobby all around the cabinets....found them on sale for $10.00:

Just an "in progress" shot, but they're cabinets originally for office cubicles. Repainted and hung from angle brackets I had to make. They originally had some kind of propriatary hanger brackets on them for the cubicle partitions. The doors open out at the bottom and slide back into the top for storage when open. (not near done yet)

Love the cubicle cabinets. Great idea.

Mine are a mixture of 30+ year old oak cabinets from my dad's office that have been passed down through a few garages. Office cast-offs, the blue and red ones cost about $16 total. Shelves I built then added doors to later on to keep the clutter hidden.

Drawers under the bench are from a sink base cabinet that I cut up.

Not the best picture. Local custom cabinet shop installed them at my last house. When we moved I took them with me.

Lippyp,

What is the iron stand in the picture of your garage? Is it an old tool base?

These are mine, I saved them from my relatives' home (used to be my grandparents farm place). He was going to junk them. I like them they have a 50s-ish Westerny kind of feel. Catch my drift? The other cabs came from our first house/garage, took them with when we left.

Have recently done some rearranging, will have to take more pics...

I got the cabinets from IKEA for both the garage and the shop. You guys are correct about finding things. I had to label the drawers and doors as it really is a problem. I really like the center island as it is about 10' X 6' and that provides a nice work area.

Unfortunately, the garage and the shop are not attached. The other problem I face is that the garage is only 100" high so I cannot install a practical lift. I am considering a MAX JACK but I amnot sure at my age if that would be practical to work under. For a bout the same price, I could buy a real lift and install it next to the garage, outside. (I live in San Diego, so that might work.)

The floors are Race Deck tiles in both areas and although that are a bit pricey, I could not use epoxy due to moisture issues with the slabs.

My 30' by 50' garage has 32 running feet of open shelving that is 13' tall. I installed a rolling library ladder to reach the shelving.
