Real Tool Review . . . . . he is legit.

Looks like the HF Earthquake 1/2" impact is getting even better.

I didn't really watch it because I don't have 16 minutes to spare, about the wonders of an impact wrench :) , but....

did scroll to the part about how the size of the coupler, can effect the performance of the impact. :), so good to know.d not realize

Looks like a nice video, certainly to be scrutinized and debunked by many. :)

Scrutinized maybe, but I think he puts a great deal of effort into presenting facts and doing so accurately. I don't know what he's got in to his two Skidmores, but it's a significant amount of cash.

I just skip to the results at the end usually.

He puts a great amount of detail into going over the impacts and the accuracy of his setup. Great videos, but I'm just usually looking for the numbers.

I only wish he would've included the compact XT in the test.

I would guess they were purchased for him... just one of the perks of doing those reviews

I can't see what there is to debunk as he demonstrated the facts quite well. He just makes no mention of air consumption compared to the high end variety making the same amount of torque.

I know he purchased the digital one personally, or as a business expense anyway. I suspect that's the case with the other also.

I say I know this, I really don't KNOW it, but he did say so in his podcast. He seems principled to me, as a tool reviewer. I believe he genuinely values accuracy.

HF May have given him the impacts to review for all we know. He seems to really like them but doesn't foam all over them either.

He purchased all the Skidmores with his own money. He's been pretty vocal about that as he really wants the torque testing to be an independent test. He probably has 10+ grand into them.

Don't know if he has an itchy trigger finger or because it's a brand new tool, but that "feathering" of the trigger is terrible.

People need to pay attention to his air supply too. He uses 1/2 air line with 3/8 couplers. Your 100ft 3/8 line with 1/4 fittings may not be able to feed these tools.

Does anyone know, since he didnt bother to mention, the air consumption of these?

Part of me wants to ask, in 16 minutes what else could have been worth talking about more than this, and the other part of me wants to ask, are you sure you didn't just die of boredom and miss that part of the 16 minutes.

talk about the stats
show the tool
talk about the test setup
do the test
show the results
5 minutes. done.

make a separate video about air fittings.

Yea but... Now, all the previous impact tests are irrelevant until compared on the new machines. Which means Aircat, CP, and Astro, which are all in the same price range, will probably blow the HF impacts door's in. Mr. RealTool Review, can you make this happen? (I don't remember your actual member name on here)

Yea. most of his reviews have been shoot outs between models in the same price range. He did review the Nitrocat 1250k which is north of $200 on most sites. A comparison to the 1150k would have been nice. And the other names you mention of course. There is a sea of brands and ever changing tool technology out there. Hard to keep up with it all if not mind boggling.

His reviews are amongst the best. Not some box opening ceremony and demonstrating how the tool removes a lug nut on a compact sedan.
