Bough this while I was going to pawn shops and an antique store.
Haven't seen this "kettle shaped" socket before. I like the knurling ring though.
Size is 1-3/16, so it fit a space I didnt have, haha.

When did they produce these?

I've not seen chrome sockets like that. But at work we use a bunch of high torque impact sockets for tight space areas. Like the drive teeth on crawler side frames, or turn table bearings
