How are you going to sell it? If ebay, start the listing at 99 cents and you'll get many, many bidders, and if you're lucky, toward the end of the auction several of those bidders will start a bidding war.
I am going to sell my 1975 Wilton C-2 vise it has some dents and dings on the anvil and vise head. Whats a fair asking price?

DNJ: did you do the spiffing up on the C2? looks good. not sure it needs new jaws just cause it's chipped, but a few more pictures from all sides, top and bottom/below might help us. or if you had it all apart do you have pictures of the before too and any issues? any welds or cracks?
there's been a nice C3 in our area for $700 for a while now, but depending on where you live i actually like the C2 better and i'm sure other users will too knowing it's 100 pounds instead of the 200 pounder C3.
if you want to be a member even after you sell or keep your Wilton you might want to go in your GJ profile and put in your city/state or general part of the world you live in so when asking questions like this we can help me more if we decide to want to help new members appraise their stuff. we are not big fans of doing that often, but if you ask nicely and need help we are usually a helpful bunch.

You really have to take prices given here with a grain of salt. Frequently they'll list the price they would pay for a vise, not the price they would sell the same vise for.
In other words, the guys here that say a vise is worth no more than $200 will price it at $350 if they're the one selling it.
I would be happy to pay $250 for that vise, assuming no hidden damage we can't see in the picture. I sold a newer fixed based C2 for $310 today, and the buyer was happy with the price.

I agree with this as a seller. However, I bought my c2 for $20 at a business liquidation sale. The swivel ring ended being broke in three places. Welded up with nickel rod damn close to good as new. I rarely use the swivel though. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $250. Mine will never sold.
