I recently found my snap on csa8b scrapper in a box of tools that ended up in the "junk drawer." It appears if someone had attempted to use it as a chisel and there are a few nicks in it. Can I just throw it on the bench grinder to get the edge back?

Every knife, every shear, every scraper, every tool of any kind that has an edge.
Nippers, dykes, strippers............ I'll resharpen Xacto and utility knife blades when I feel like it.
Everything, everything!
Either it cuts easy, or you work so much harder and dangerously with a dull edge,..... and I am lazy. Plus I have nothing against preserving my popular body parts.

When I worked in a shop I did it all the time as well. Scraping the crud off of lawn mower blades dulls a scraper pretty quick.

I use plastic wall board knives or plastic putty knives and a brass bristled brush for doing this every time I remove the blade for sharpening. About twice per season.
