Thanks laddy. IIRC, those Suncast coolers went down to the $20 range last year in case anyone's considering and willing to gamble.

You are correct. They were a slightly different model, but they did go down to $20. I remember because I bought one for a Christmas gift.

Saw this in the PCA today. aba7e65018c9cf47940a9b63b33872bd.jpg

Only found two of them though... inventory was obviously way off.

$44.03 yesterday- happy to find it since i need to replace my old craftsman chain drive opener

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Genie-PowerLift-1-2-HP-Screw-Drive-Garage-Door-Opener-2562-TSV/202808534

I got just as lucky I walked in to check prices since the wife called and told me our door open would just click and not open the door.
Walked by Clearance end cap and there sat this unit for 57.03:rocker:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Genie-Ex...ve-DC-Garage-Door-Opener-4062-TKNMV/203978703

needless to say in the cart it went, installed when i got home and am totally surprised at how simple it was to set limits and also how fast it raises my 16ft insulated door

6 light high bay fluorescent shop light

$22. was $85

4 stars and very bright but quite a few bad reviews for ballasts dying. For $22 I'll roll the dice. Also found this which should cover the ballasts dying in 2-3 years...

"It appears that the fixture is warranted by the Lithonia lighting for 1 year. According to their website they do not warrant the ballast. The ballast has a 5 year warranty BUT you have to contact the ballast manufacturer not Lithonia lighting for this warranty."

They also had 65 Watt equivalent BR30 Cree LED's for $7 and 40 watt A19 Cree LED's for $4.

Mixed reviews on the BR30's. Some burn out prematurely. I wouldn't pay $16 regular price for them but again, I'll roll the dice for $7. They are brighter and don't hum like Philips CFL's of mine that they're replacing. And I had two of those separate and crash to the hardwood floor within a few weeks of installing. First time it was in the middle of the night. Thought someone broke a window so I grabbed the shotgun. LOL

The A19's have 4.5 stars.

So they generally mark down clearance items on a particular day or does it just vary

Please don't talk about penny deals per the first post, they do not exist.

Your store had 2 non working floor models? Wow! Any penny item in the computer like that is a non-functional floor model.

They are very functional. Matter of fact, I ripped one just the other day and blew some leaves all over the yard.

I gave SPN the other one.

Hi all,

Just getting a consensus on how other crafty HD clearance shoppers streamline your PCA useage. As you guys know, getting access to a PCA is sometimes tough…either getting the evil eye, getting kicked off with an “employees only” remark, or not having an open PC at all. When you do get access, what’s your most efficient way to look for deals and to get off quickly (that sounds funny).

What I’ve been doing is key word searches and just reviewing items that are on clearance. Once I found something that I need, I would drilling into the item and see if my store has stock or check out the surrounding stores’ quantity. To limit my PCA time, I search on: Faucets, wireless, cordless, garage doors, security, fans, or anything that I need.

For the reseller out there, how do you guys search PCA since you’re basically looking at everything that’s on clearance? You really can’t camp out the entire day on PCA.

Also, if there’s something that I need use but not “really” need it, if it’s at 50% off (.x6 price), I take a picture of it if it has stock and come back weeks later and try to get it at the 75% off (.x3) price.

Just wondering

This thread would be much better if there were more deals and less complaints. Who cares where it came from? It's a HD clearance deal that may help someone out and it includes a YMMV disclaimer. I'm simply giving credit to the OP.

I saw a couple of these at a store about a week ago. I wonder if this means other Webers will be going on clearance.
