Snap-on FHKFD80 in yellow finally showed up, and a 3/8 SAE semi-deep set.
I think you'll like that FHKFD80Y. I picked one up in orange shortly after they were plastered all over here when the debuted at convention. Some other GJ'ers weren't so sure how useful it would prove to be. I have found that compared to a standard F80 I like it better. My hand covers the whole handle and the flex gives you the ability to just slightly change the angle of the handle for knuckle clearance. Im glad I got one.....I'm sure you will be too.

Steelman Pro long wrench set.

wbqnib.jpg

Low profile reverse switch and extended ring. Compared to a 84/88T 1/4 with a shallow socket and a normal wrench.

On the down side they feel a bit coarse on the back drag despite being 72T but this is the best design I could find with the extended ring, the other one having a push through switch on the side of the wrench head. Should improve after a soak in some oil and use.

.

I have been looking for a set of wrenches like this. Leaning towards Gearwrench, but open to other options. How much was this set ?

Been watching these 1/4" drive shallow socket/ratchet set. When it's Snap On Thursday and they are close to half price you have to say "I'll take some of that!" :)

I'm pretty exited about it, I got it's big brother a month or so ago, the FHFD80 also in yellow, and have enjoyed it immensely.

Okay so now order an FHLFD80 in whatever color they have available (probably green, orange or red) and order a yellow replacement handle for an FHD80. Then you will have all the brothers. The FHLFD is about 13" long.

Because of all the colors available right now in the two new ratchets you already have, replacement handles can also seem to be ordered. The part number even comes up on their site.

It is FHD80-12Y

This handle should be able to be installed onto any 3/8 ratchet that came originally with a hard handle (not the soft grip). Order a few extra handles now while you can.

I have an FHNFD100G round swivel head ratchet on order now as well as several orange replacement handles for the FHD80. I'm hoping to have some awesome custom ratchets soon.

36 inch S-K 3/4 breaker bar from Harry Epstein.

Chrome is excellent, knurling is great.

I have an old 3/4" Proto 24" ratchet. I've used the ratchet before, with a 3 foot cheater bar to break loose monster nuts on my tractor and bushhog but I was afraid I'd break it. No fear of breaking this baby.

The cat looks unimpressed. I like it though.

These all came in and found a good deal locally on a set of 1/2" shallow and deep 6 point sets.

I bought one last year for SK day when they first came out. 100% satisfied with mine. Broke free and tightened up a lot of nuts/bolts with that thing. Very strong and sturdy. Use it all the time on our JD 4630 self-propelled sprayer when we swap out wheels and tires on it. Awesome! Actually considering buying another to keep in my service truck.

Not uncommon on German cars

Had the same on some cam gear bolts on one once

So stupid--it's not like it really stops anyone from getting it off, just makes people spend money on tools and wait another day or two
