I imagine any ebay seller who's selling these jacks for less than $150 new in box, is probably a scammer. Especially if they're also offering free shipping on a 112lb package.

I ran across your discussion here as a consumer doing research in connection with a potential jack purchase. I'm not an attorney, engineer, or in the lifting industry.
Being politically active on a local level, I do happen to have a pre-existing PACER account that gives me access to federal court records as a member of the public.
Given my tangential interest in this case, I won't have the budget to post here everything filed in this case, but I have downloaded a couple of files so far. Anyone who wants a full understanding of the case cannot rely solely on what I post to this forum since I am downloading only selective files with PACER to get a flavor of what is going on in the case. I offer no opinion on the merits of the case.
I'm attaching the body of Snap-On's complaint. It refers to exhibits that are not part of this post.
... Has anybody used Court8900? It ships from Tupelo, Mississippi. Seller's location is listed as Australia.
...
It is a bit sketchy, but there are giant red flags all over this entire deal, yet people are getting their jacks. That's pretty sketchy right there, but there is a certain irony to claiming a former penal colony as their location.

I think it is a way to extract cash from stolen credit cards. Think of it money laundering in a way.Now I'm puzzled. How can they sell that Daytona floor jack for $88 on ebay when HF's list price is $199?
And the Powerbuilt one I bought 10 years ago is $211 at Home Depot. I remember paying over $200.
Looks like there's only one seller with a BIN under $100 right now. Has anybody used Court8900? It ships from Tupelo, Mississippi. Seller's location is listed as Australia.

OK, long time lurker actually registered to post that I'm in for 2.I have a mind to post this to SlickDeals, but I don't want to ruin it with people going insane and trying to resell, etc...
So in 5 more years when I have 2 or 3 posts nobody can say I just created my account to scam. Thanks to the OP and all of you who have done the research and kept me on the edge of my seat for a couple weeks. Now I'll wait and see if I get them.
I don't think I'm supposed to have the jack for around $100. 00.
When pay pal wouldn't let me pay
I think I'm done
B TW I clicked on pay now again tonight, it said item not found

it was just removed yesterday.I don't understand how you having so much trouble with buying... I'll assume you won a listing that has since been removed or canceled and thus PP or eBay won't let you pay for it.
It should be pretty clear from your "My eBay" page that lists what you've won or bidding on. You'll probably need to bid or buy again on a new listing.
If Harbor Freight chooses to, they can pursue everyone who received a jack from a fraudster, and demand its return or the receiver could be charged with possession of stolen property. All the names and address records are in their system so it would be trivial to do.
and nothing could happen, they can go after ebay but not a buyer who bought something in good faith, everything here about stolen cards and fraud is hearsay,

I think we can all assume these jacks are being shipped out of SC directly from HF, there is no local pickup unless you're in SC lol.
I'm curious to know if/when you get yours.

So where can I get some 22 weight non-detergent hydraulic oil?

So where can I get some 22 weight non-detergent hydraulic oil?
The manual states to "use only 22 viscosity, non-detergent hydraulic jack oil".
Not that I need any now or hopefully in the near future, but a look at several jack oils either didn't say what viscosity they are or else the ones that do seem lighter weight. For example, "Liquid Wrench" jack oil says "SAE viscosity grade is 5W/10W".
Anyone know of a good 22 viscosity jack oil?Just go to your local farm and fleet/store and look for ISO 22 Hydraulic oil.
http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/iso-vg-grade-d_1206.html
According to that chart, ISO grade 22 roughly translates to SAE 5W oil.
Try tractor supply. So where can I get some 22 weight non-detergent hydraulic oil?
I'm buying into the conspiracy theory that the sellers are using stolen credit cards to ship these jacks to people through HF's website and make $88 or $99 or whatever on each of them. Eventually, some but not all of the HF credit charge purchases will be reversed and the cc card companies and HF will take the hit.
