Yeah, here on GJ.
But I noticed sometimes if you upload off a phone,
They look OK on the phone, but come out real big on my PC.
Oh well, it happens.
That box looks great!

If you are using the Tapatalk app on your phone, it will add the ginormous pictures of you insert pictures as you take them. In other words, selecting the camera icon.

I discovered that if you take the pictures first with your camera app, and then insert them using the Photo button, they show up as normal sized.

Fresh photo w/ camera button:

Edit: as you can see, sometimes using the camera from inside Tapatalk also screws up the orientation.

Same scene taken first with camera app:

are the latches upside down on that sk box or is it the way it came?
like the box. love to see the inside when you get it cleaned up

As requested inside pictures, it's a lot rougher then I thought, but I not beyond repair.

Picked this up for $20 today. What is it ? Its 26 inches wide. The side box I picked up at a swop meet in Bristol Ct, end of day $5 special. They are similar but not exact. These came from different places.

A couple of my old S-K boxes. A 60's Wayne box and a hip roof similar to Sam's. I couldn't bring myself to restore the hip roof.

And notice the latches are the same as Sam's too.

Maybe Remline, someone here will know for sure. The inner drawer pulls resemble vintage Snap On but idk about the outside, I'm just not that familiar with them. Have you searched it for any stampings, some boxes will be stamped on the front case rails top and bottom, some on the left side panel and some on the rear.

Here's my Waterloo JL-70. I paid $20 for it with some doe wrenches I picked out from the same guy. I need to find a front door for it, and Waterloo thinks they might have one to fit. I need to send them measurements and pictures. It probably won't look like the original, but I'm not sure. I have started on it by degreasing, getting the paint off, and I removed the ugly hasp.

It will take some body work. I don't think the boo boos will buff right out!

Zeeman, I have the three drawer version of that Waterloo box. It was also missing the front cover. I went back to the same GS a month later (and they were a lot deeper into their piles..) and I found the front! I pointed out I had bought the box it went to a month before, and they gave it to me!

Right on Outlaw. I don't think I'll be as lucky, but I'll ask the seller. This box looks like it has been passed around a little. It has/had some yellow numbers like they put on parts at the junk yard. Anyway, now that I've thought about it a little more, I might like it better without the door. I could just put a filler strip along the bottom to chuch it up a bit, although I do like things original as possible.

I'm not sure about the Snap-On stuff, but the people at Waterloo are at least willing to work with me to find something that will work, or can be modified. I guess you have checked SO's replacement parts.

Cool but a lot of money for a K60.
I think is a lot of money too.
Maybe if it were super clean/cherry , I cant see him getting $1,100.00 for it.

November has been a top box kind of month with these two additions manufactured both in the windy city of Chicago.

1. 1957 Craftsman 10 drawer box manufactured by the Advertising Metal Display Company. I've been looking for this model of box since seeing Red Leader's beautiful stack and I finally found one for $70. The box is certainly beat up and bruised but came with the key and the sliding tray for the upper middle drawer.

2. 1969 Metal Box & Cabinet Corp (MBC) CT-236 6 drawer box made for Catepillar. I am a sucker for the color orange (small snap on box in snappy red for comparison of colors)and this well cared for beauty set me back $130. Two keys and the pull out removable tray made this to good to resist.

Want to sell (or trade) the Cat box? I'd be very interested. PM me.

Nice finds FJ. Craftsman looks to be and great shape and the MBC are stout boxes. [emoji482]

I seem to recall you owning one as well. :bounce:

The craftsman underwent several complete cleanings with various strengths of degreaser, rubbing compound, polish and several layers of wax.

What's wrong with me?

Finally got around to snapping some pics of my 2 little carry around boxes. The one with the stickers is a no-name box that my girlfriend gave me as a going away gift when I moved a thousand miles away from her in about 1997. Just barely sneaks in under the "vintage" label, I guess. I use it for rescue missions.

The Kennedy was given to me by a widow at church when I was helping her sort her departed husband's belongings. I'd appreciate any help dating it. It's about to go into regular duty carrying the tools I use in my role as maintenance guy at church. The Klein bag I've been using for that job for 5 years, and in my job as voice and data installer for 10 years before that, is worn out.

I'll keep that in mind--if I'm interpreting the stance correctly--the "folded arms" indicate she's pissed off and he ain't getting none-so no breeding activities for the time being.. :)
