Sorry to hear about the kitchen cabinet re-paint but you will be glad you did it right now and not end up regretting it for years to come....

Yea it ***** but i will be happier in the end hopefully. I was real nervous watching them remove the granite and un doing the seams. So far everything is ok. I hope it all goes back together as planned. I cant get anymore of this granite if one of the slabs break.

The irrigation is done. Trying to get landscaping wrapped up at the beginning of the week and get grass planted by the end of the week. We will see how things go. Drywall is also finished. Just need to get it painted. And i can work on getting the bathrooms finished. I promise i will post some picture for you guys soon.

Honestly at this point ill be lucky if im in by Christmas with all of the delays and extra work i decided to do. It could happen sooner, im just held up by the sub contractors at this point.

Thank you! Its a pretty nice view I must say! Every night and weekend for the last 1.5 years at least. I spent another 1.5 years before that messing around in my spare time clearing the land. So It been over a 3 year project. I broke ground on the house Nov 21st last year. So monday will be 1 yr of house construction. Not including all of the planning and design. Its be a long hard project to say the least. But Very rewarding at the same time.

I have a brand new 31 HP kubota diesel zero turn with a 72" deck im ready to break in! It came out to about 2 Acres right around the house. Not including the lanes, etc. Im thinking im going to spend at least 3 hours a week just cutting grass!

It shouldn't take you that long with that massive mower.

There is easily another 6 or 7 acres of grass to cut depending on how much im going to keep mowed short. And a 1000' lane that will need to be trimmed on both sides. I have a grass crew that works for me. They have been cutting most of it all summer long. And the stuff i've let grow tall I cut with my bushhog.

That will keep you busy this coming summer. You have the mower I wish I could afford. I'm mowing my 5 acre field out front with my Compact with a 60" mid mount. I wish I could go with a 72" but I don't think my old diesel would have enough hp.

You and I did a lot of similar things in the shop- metal interior, LED lighting, air plumbing... one thing I noticed was your switches and outlets look to be standard, are you planning any automation such as radio Ra, total connect, or similar? For remote operation an dimming purposes, it is pretty handy. I very well coulda missed the post too...

Thank you. Well go Eagles! Its going to be a good game reguardless. Eagles havent played good on the road and the Seahawks are unbeatable at home. Im giving the Hawks the edge. More picture will be coming!

Thank you! Out in the shop its all or nothing. There really is no need to have the lights on inside when im not there. The shop has WIFI and Cable. I ran conduit back to the house and everything is setup so i can feed anything i might need back and forth. The shop and house each have a dedicated cable feed. Ill be able to operate the garage doors etc. off of the wifi. Im using sonos speakers in the shop and house which connect over wifi and bluetooth for total home automation. The shop and house are also monitored with a camera system i can control with my phone.

The switches are all standard now on the house but i would like to setup a few of the exterior lights on a wifi controled switch so i can turn them on when im not home. Besides the cameras, speakers, and garage doors i can also operate my alarm system with my phone.

Few Pictures from this afternoon. Have the irrigation running 20 minutes a zone 2x a day. Grow grass Grow!!! Digging footers for the back deck tomorrow! Paving is scheduled for the week of Nov. 28th. Fingers crossed for a few more weeks of good weather!

Only thing in my fleet that isn't Kubota and Diesel. Make is a pain for refueling since I have a transfer tank on my truck for diesel but have to tote 5 gallon gas cans for my Scag. Looks like you have a decent amount of invested in Kubota as well.

I have a dozen or so Kubota tractors/skidsteers/mowers in our fleet. Knock on wood but i've never had a major problem with any of them. And I've been using them the last 20 years. I wish i bought a Kubota zero turn when i bought my toro for at home but i only had .5 AC to cut didnt make much sense to spend 15K on a diesel mower when a gas mower would do the same thing.

A local Wooden Garage Door Company went out of business a few years ago. The building was sold and they auctioned off their old equiptment and tools. I scooped this table and old Lawson bins full of nuts/bolts/cotter pins/etc. Just stuff you dont come across all of the time. My shop is right across the street so it was an easy move.

Yes its a very cool collection! Some of this stuff dates back to the 1950s when the place opened. If you can see on the bench its covered in wood glue from assembling wooden garage doors for 70 years! The bench i doubt is that old but its still cool. If that bench could only talk I'm sure it would have some stories to tell!

They still make steel doors, but the demand for wooden doors is non existent after they started to make steel doors that looked like old wooden ones.

Thank you! As far as I know! I have two loads of stone coming tomorrow morning. They are supposed to grade out the driveway tuesday and pave on thursday weather permitting. Looks like rain tuesday and all day wednesday. Things could get pushed back a few days. We will see...

Going to try to get my final plumbing wrapped up wednesday and have my stairs and landing stained wednesday or thursday. Then they can come back and put up the handrails and balusters.

Update: 12/1/16

Plumbing on the house was finished yesterday except for the tub in the master bath (had to order a new drain) and the outdoor shower. I just finished up doing a rough clean up inside the house so the staircase could be stained today and tomorrow. Then the trim guys can come back next week and install the last few doors in the basement and put up all of the handrails. Appliances will be here soon and my security system is going in today hopefully. Working on carpet now and picking out the rest of my lights and fans this weekend.

After two days of rain the paving crew was working on grading the driveway this morning. I attempted to grade it a bit but my dozers are just too big. They have a small grader and he was doing a nice job on it this morning. Not sure if we are paving tomorrow or next week yet.

Also been working on painting the bathroom, compressor room, and stairway in the shop. My ceiling fans are in and my air hose reels, electric reels, and garden hose reel should be here today.

Ill try to get some pictures of the paving, etc. posted up soon!
