I was given this torque wrench and it's missing a couple teeth. I'm not sure how old it is but, should I look for a distributor to warranty it or buy a rebuild kit?

Have you taken the head apart to inspect/clean/lube?

are you sure it's missing teeth?

Have not taken anything apart yet. I suspect it is missing teeth because some spots it'll slip even with like 10ftlbs

As mentioned, open up and inspect. It's easy to open.

Does Armstrong warranty the ratchet head on these for life? I know it varies by company.

If the rebuild kit is affordable I would just buy it. I like some Apex tools, but their warranty service isn't as good as some other brands.

Calibration Lab
Have either of you had work done by them? I've personally never had a wrench Calibrated and some of pretty old

Yes. I run a cal lab and personally do dozens of torque wrenches every year. I'm capable of taking them apart (except the split beam type that requires too many special tools) BUT I don't have repair parts so any that need more than typical lube & adjustment I send to Angle.

In my experience they're not very fast but that might be due to the purchasing process at work bogging it down.
