The document shows the promo date as 11-30, perhaps you have to wait 2 more days? Not really a cyber Monday deal if that's the case.

Thanks. I didn't catch the dates. Silly me, thought cyber Monday meant Monday, not wendsday

I ordered a set this morning as well. The funny thing is that I had called Lowes Corporate on Monday to see why the sale price was not coming up on their website. They looked into in it and got back to me: they claimed that the sale price was below their cost, and that it was a mistake, and that they would correct the sales list.

:dunno:

Anyone know what size torx are included? God knows I don't need any more screwdrivers, but I only own various torx screwdrivers. For $20, I could keep the torx in my home box and bring the rest to use at work. I guess.

I just picked up two sets, works out to a dollar a screw driver for a decent screw driver. I like that fact that the larger sizes have a nut on them to put a combination wrench. I know some of the better manufactures typically do this.

Torx sizes are T10, T15, T20, T25,

Worth a dollar a piece to me. Seem better than the blue and red HF Pro set. I use them on a farm for a little bit of everything so its about economical functionality to me.

Don't forget the $15 off $50 coupon. I picked up a set of the screwdrivers, the wrenches, locking pliers, the razor knife and 5 piece tool set all for $43 after tax. 18a49b845d87a7615196ca0eafb5adf0.png

Where do I find the 15 off $50 coupon?
470000XXXX6228X

Replace the X's with random numbers until you find a code that works and hasn't been used. For example I might use 470000333362280 and then change the 0 at the end to a 1-9 until it tells me the coupon worked or is already used. If used I'll change the 3333 to 3334 and repeat the process.

Well, my sets going back and I will not be getting another. I own a lot of screwdrivers, mostly truck brands, with the exception of Mac. I can't say for sure, but I highly doubt Mac would sell screwdrivers like this. All the long blade screwdrivers were crooked in their handles. For all I know, the shorter ones are as well, it's just easier to notice on the long ones. Other than that, they're mediocre at best. IN MY EXPERIENCES, cheap Chinese made tools like this from Lowes, HF, etc are always inferior to the worse USA brand i.e. Craftsman and I should have stuck with my usual mind set of "don't even bother." I wish everyone else better luck with them though.

Here's one pic, right out of the box. See it angles to the right.

On a positive note though I bought a 225lb capacity Werner work platform for $20. Sale ends today. I also saw this white tool box. Looks cool but flimsy3906d346866122655925f83ba652271f.jpg.

I picked up the Werner walk plank also for 19.98....Surprisingly sturdy...and just in time for painting the walls especially trimming the wall near the ceiling. I'm starting to like Lowes sales more and more.

I bought that White Kobalt Box at Lowe's on Black Friday. I would not call it flimsy at all. The entire box area is double wall steel. It has great urethane casters with good bearings and a nice foot brake.

I had it delivered Sunday, and I think for the price paid it is very well built. The drawers got more stable after I loaded them up with tools. Overall very happy with it for that price. As a note, I paid $300 less than what's listed in your picture, black Friday special, one per store... Not sure I'd have bought it at full price.

bummer regarding the screwdriver. I bought it as a gift. When I get home I'll open carefully to inspect, I'll return it if really bad and just get Wera set for $25.

I got the screwdriver set today. My eyes could only pick up on one of the phillips drivers having a slight bow to it. Nothing major. I'm keeping mine.

I checked them out in store. Very cheap and plastic feel. Also, quite a few of the blades were crooked as already mentioned. Not even worth the $20 in my opinion.

I picked up the screwdriver set this afternoon and a friend picked up a set at the same time. The shafts in both our sets are straight in the handles. Maybe a difference in QC on the assembly line or maybe we are just lucky.

Mine seemed to be ok as far as straightness, but wow, Kobalt has certainly taken a page out of the tool polishers rule book. "No tool shall touch another tool" this 20 piece set would take up a whole drawer if you used the foam pos. I like the idea of the foam, but there is no reason for all the wasted space.
