Storing spray lubes in winter

I do not keep the heat on in my garage in the winter months. If I am going to go out and work on a project or wash the car or truck, I will turn the heat on and can work out there in a t shirt. I never had a problem with any of the spray cans of lubricants, but I store any of the water based glue that I use in the house. I am wondering what you guys do with your stuff in the winter months. I won't be in the shop at all this winter and am thinking about putting all of the spray lubes in the cellar. Just curious what you guys think?

I usually tote most chemicals and adhesives in and out of the basement as needed when temps are freezing.

I bring the stuff I don't want frozen into the basement and store it there. I get it out as needed. Only run the heat when doing work.

Colder temperatures will cause the pressure of the propellant to drop in the can. When you go to use it nothing may come out. When the temps go back up, so will the pressure in the can.

You know... I had an old refrigerator in my garage/shop about 40 years ago that didn't work. I drilled a small hole in it, ran in a wire and wired up a porcelain light socket. It ended up with a 15 or 20W bulb in it to keep it warm in the cold months. I kept my welding rod and spray can stuff in it and it worked well... Just an idea for you if you have room.

Anything in a spray can I never have problems leaving them in my unheated garage. But I do bring spray bottles in the house...if not, they often freeze & ******* onto the shelf.

If it is a one time, all winter, storage don't get fancy.
Just bring them indoors.

I have seen a number of old refrigerators. with the light wired always on, used in unheated shops.
Some of them with a manual switch for turning it off in summer.

All of my automotive stuff stays out in the garage all year long. Household stuff stays inside. Car wax sometimes looks weird after a freeze but seems to work fine in the spring. Aside from that, I've never had any issues.

what do you mean by winter, here winter is 70 degrees

You're missing out on snowball fights, making snowmen, snowmobile rides, skiing, snowshoing, sleigh rides, hot chocolate, ice fishing, ice sailing, sucking on icicles, and did i mention "you ****?"

All my chemicals and water based products stay in my unheated garage all year round. It seems just having them in a cabinet keeps them from freezing.

I tote anything that could freeze inside the basement before winter. Everything else stays out in the cold. I don't worry about spray cans of lubricants even when it gets down to -10F in the garage. I bring the can in the house for a while if I need to use it.

I have a hundred or so spray cans. I leave them in the garage all year. Every once in a while I'll get one that leaked or lost the pressure. I can't see hauling them in and out.
