There are a couple. Which one do you speak of?

To find out you have to wait 6 weeks....Then 3 more.....Then if you're lucky, the answer is on a top shelf somewhere.

The BF wiper blades are down to $1.88.

Also - and apologies if this was mentioned, I don't follow the boxes much - the 46" Milwaukee top box was yellow-tagged at $240

Found these out in the garden section. Going back this weekend to pick a few up.

Husky LED Work light 819286014812 $7
2 pack USB lightning cables 887429000961 $6.33

After finding this hidden gem of HD information I went looking for some deals.. I found the pots mentioned in this post at my local HD. An associate was in the middle of marking them down to .01!!! I started to get excited that I would have some info to share with the group here, however, she burst my bubble promptly by telling me that they can't sell items for .01.... She says they send the products back to the vendor. I figured that was code for im gonna buy them after work. Anybody have any suggestions on how to approach this at my local store? Or is this legit?

They put penny items in trash compactor, back to vendor and/or donate to local charity. Majority of it goes in dumpster. Some to charities, but more and more stores getting away from that. The cost to mail it back to manufacturers is usually more than the profit is worth on the items so it goes in trash...

Every associate you ask will have a different story - my local MET says they go in the dumpster. How to approach it? Wait until she walks away, grab a few, quickly make your way to self checkout, hope you get a lazy SCO attendant.

The MET team at my local HD take their jobs very seriously; the only penny items I've ever seen were being wheeled away on the MET cart. When I naively asked what the deal was, MET said "Those pennied out - if you buy those, I lose my job". I've concluded that the only way to score a penny deal at my local HD, is to hide the item once it goes on clearance, then hope nobody finds it, then hope your luck holds out at the register. Needless to say, I don't spend a lot of time at my HD anymore.

Make friends with someone that works the counter there or has been there a long long time. Then ask him to let you know when they clearance something out dirt cheap or are giving it away. Like one time our local HD was giving away rebar! Just sitting out front, first come first serve. Didn't even ask why, it's not like rebar goes bad or anything... But for things that are going to end up in the dumpster, they would walk out the store while they are holding it, then hand it to me once out the door.

Our local Walmart does similar, they will keep cutting the price of something in half until it's all sold or I guess they don't want to waste the space any longer and it disappears. So it's a guessing game of how low do you want something to go before you grab it or next time you are there it's all gone.

I was just at HD today, saw those wiper blades and probably should have grabbed them. They were almost out of those little Ryobi $3 packs of drivers & drill bits. I was at a different HD this past weekend and got the LAST $10 dremel 132pc pack in the store, and only because someone placed it in some weird place and I just happened to see it down near the ground. I totally forgot to check the garden section for anything good, I made a note for next trip!

I noticed the single promo diablo reciprocating saw blades that are normally $1 were marked .80 each. I forgot to take a picture of the deal.

In previous years, I picked up a ton of those bit sets that come out exclusively for the holidays after they went on deep discount and was not impressed at all. Compared to the bit sets they keep in stock year-round, the ones that are holiday deals are complete butter. Caused more frustration than the dollars I saved. I wound up unloading all of them on CL. Hopefully YMMV with those bits but I've learned to stay away from the holiday bit set offers.

I try to save those cheap little kits to toss in the cordless drill bags. They fit really nice and you don't get upset if you leave them some place. Then they also get used for almost exclusively wood projects.

Grabbed some stuff for a project and spotted these. They also dropped the price on the large storage tubs.

Guys,
I'm computer challenged and don't know how to post pictures, but I was in local HD (New Braunfels, TX) and they had a number of individual 1/4 drive HUSKY sockets on clearance in the regular department. The ones I saw were all less than a dollar each.

I thought I might contribute a little something.

Nice find, it should be half that price in less than 3 weeks.

Sprinkl Conserve SR-301 dropped to 25.03 this morning just in case anyone looking for one. Has one 5 stars review from a 55 yr old lady. Hooks up to your wifi and allow you to turn on/off your sprinkler from anywhere in the world. I think you can also set it up to check local weather and only water based on local weather report.

Sku is 861364000200.

Was browsing around HD today, they had lots of stuff marked down a buck or two... There were some pots that were sold out marked down considerably.

Also saw this Lesco 50lb bag of 18-0-9 weed & feed from $43 -> $3.80!

And a Stanley brad nailer $60 -> $15

They also had some Scott's fertilizer marked down a bunch to like $5, forgot exactly what kind it was... Not much else was out in my garden area...
