I have some old Craftsman Professional jackstands and I like to find some more. I'm looking for a pair of the 4 ton ones but the newer ones are different from the ones I need. You can see the one on the left is the older one, and the one on the right is the newer one.

And in this one the older one in the front and the newer one in the back.

I have a pair of 2-1/2 ton ones or 3 ton ones and they are nothing to write home about, seem no better than HF or something you can get at Costco/Sams.

My OCD wants me to try and match what I have.

Those are the newer skinny ones. Same part number, same support range. I'm going to have to find someone's used pair.

They look like my HF 3 ton and 6 ton. I got my 3 tons at different tmes and the cosmetics don't match. I use the ones that match in pairs and they hold my car level and secure. That is all that matters. It is a garage, not a living room. I know some people are obcessed with matched sets of wrenches and screw drivers, etc. I am more concerned that the quality is up to the job. With those stands, I see that one has wider post tops. The wider one spreads the load better. That counts for something. If it bothered me enough to to do something I would want a pair with the wider top and I don't care about color or brand. They are, after all, just cheap Chinese jack stands. Based on years of no problems usage, this is one item I see no reason to replace with some prestige brand. In the past, the term professional might have meant something at Sears but today it is all ****. I don't even look forward to picking up Craftsman tools cheap if the market is flooded with them in the impending bankruptcy.

I have both old and new pair. The old one is usually use for the heavier front end of a car, the newer skinnier only used for the rear.

I'm confused.

This link looks similar to your old ones: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CRAFTSMAN-9...:g:UxgAAOSwzaJX-VBV&item=331725344644&vxp=mtr

And this link looks like the new ones: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Craftsman-P...ebea993&pid=100623&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=331725344644
