Looking at the ratcheting wrench thread about the OEM of the MSC tools I noticed the quick release ratchet on the newtools.com site looks identical to the duralast quick relaese ratchet available at Autozone. Also looks like their ratcheting wrenches are made by them too. But the rest of the tools like socket sets and the new 72t ratchets are also made in Taiwan. Is this the same OEM? Or is there a different OEM for the rest of the tools. I recently purchased a 45pc 1/4dr set and I am really impressed with the quality for the price.

Different OEM than the reversible wrenches and compact QR ratchets.

I know William Tools (Wtools) made the highly regarded 36 tooth Duralast Ratchets, but the new 72 tooth ratchets, I have no Idea.

If I had to guess, CENS tool probably makes them, as the flex handle 1/4-1/2" closely matches what they show on their site.

Whoever the OEM is these are quality tools at decent price. I wasn't expecting much for a $20 socket set but I was pleasantly surprised. Much nicer than anything I looked at from any of the box stores. Also if you are doing any work mobile the case is great. The tools stay put and don't move around . I would say this set is easily as nice as the gearwrench set it replaced. Not as complete socket wise but quality seems as good or dare I say better. The 3/8 set is doing definitely next. I also can't say enough good things about the ratchet.
