Dewalt DCD 795 not going into hammer mode!

Hey guys,

As the title says, I just bought a Dewalt hammer/drill combo cordless drill. It's a 20v model 795. The collar to set the slip clutch and even the "drill bit" setting is working fine but the collar will not go over to the hammer setting. The collar doesn't feel weird at all, just basically stops. I've tried running the drill and spinning the collar both ways without any luck. Any ideas what Ican do?

Ya bring it back asap and get another before you're stuck with it.

Unfortunately this is not an option as I purchased it used off eBay!

Contact the seller and request a refund. If they won't do it ask eBay to step in. You'll get your money back either way.

Some of the drills will not hammer until the bit has pressure drilling on it. I don't know if this is one or not but I have a Milwaukee hammer drill that sounds just like a drill until you start to drill.

Yea, I understand but the issue is the drill "collar" that you rotate to select the hammer icon won't let me select it. It moves fine to every other option but that one!
