Intermediate rafter?

Putting up my metal shop. My instruction manual has gotten me confused. Is the intermediate rafters on the ones on the wall or the ones in the middle?

Purlins are the wall frame.

The rafters are supported by the post.

Purlins are on the roof and girts are on the wall. What kind of building is it. Tube steel or red iron?

That is a tube steel or carport style building. One tip. If you don't insulate now put a thermal brake tape on the outside of the frame. This will help reduce condensation if you insulate later.

Thermal brake tape? Put it on the post and stuff? Or the metal siding?

Yeah, i wasnt going to insulate because when i was first looking at them at the place i bought it at they had one insulated and one that wasnt.

The one that was insulated was very hot inside while the uninsulated one was cooler. This is in South GA heat.

30x50.

30x30 will be enclosed
20x30 will be open. I may close it in later.
