Easy guys... he's a member and frequent poster here... He's just trying to make a buck . No harm in that.
Agreed, great point, thank you!
I know how hard it is to get a decent collection and what I have invested, not to mention, I know the "value" of each, as "we" study them like a job/hobby.
I follow the "market" so to speak also, some of us have quite an investment, whether "people" agree or not.
A price is a price, they go up, they go down.
But Value, is Value and I pay for quality.
That guy, not even sure who he is, has some nice stuff.
He's got 5 that I would buy and pay to ship.
So I guess it's really about the buyer and the seller, no...?
I love a good "market conversation", because as I said, I've cash ******* in these "things", LOL!
I welcome all to discuss, or not, but I see the prices too, and some of us (tiny Hollands or whatever...), see the value in a "rare" specimen...
I hope our cast iron turns out to be gold, or at least, we have some fun...
Take Care ALL!
Merry Christmas!

English old chap, not Swedish.![]()

Fretters: i have no reason to doubt what you say is true and i'll have to correct my memory about the origins of Swinden vices. if you sure they are English as i'm positive you are were they the first version of the CHINESE WONDER VICE?
also while i have you on the hook do you recall an English made Craftsman vice or maybe CW or Dutch does?
Happy Hollidays
Fret, Glad to see you posting again! Missed your English wit!![]()

Hey Joe, that Wards is a bit overkill/heavy duty for you, innit?
Cool hobbyist vise though!
Yeah but its cute AND more important, its a swivelin' badtard!

Pickrc up this Ward Deluxe Sunday for 15 bucks. Wish I had pipe jaws.....
There has been a 6 inch Pittsburgh Automatic Vise located and bought, (not me),and looks to be in excellent condition.---Came out of Pittsburgh appropriately enough.---Will try to procure pictures if another member doesn't get them first.---One step closer to the big one.
Edit----After seeing a bigger pic of the Pittsburgh, there might be a place on the jaw that I couldn't see on my little phone screen.---But it's still a beautiful piece of machinery.

I guess we all now have evidence that the jaw towers are solid.Your going to love that Morgan. I have restored a few and their replacement jaws are built very well.
Wow, That Hollands has taken a beating.
That Morgan is one big beast for a 4 incher.

Wow, That Hollands has taken a beating.
That Morgan is one big beast for a 4 incher. Do you plan to keep the old safety yellow paint? Try scrubbing it down with Simple Green or equivalent and dry it out with a heat gun and apply a few coats of BLO and see how cool it looks.

Can anyone explain this strange baby bullet? Rear isnt pinned and the body hasnt even been drilled to mount the jaws?

Looks to me like something that snuck out of the factory before it was finished. Maybe an employee "rescued" it from the scrap bin at work. As has been said before, a baby bullet fits easily into a guy's lunch box.
