Snap On Cordless Ratchet

Picked up this cordless ratchet to replace a Milwaukee 12v. I have broken the head several times on the m12 so hopefully this will hold up better.

I love mine. Plenty of power and able to feather the trigger. I can go at least 3 days on one charge

You won't break the head as easily on this but you'll wear out the ratcheting mechanism.make sure to get the greaser and grease that head religiously or it'll wear out quick.first it'll lose power then it won't move at all,it's happened to me three times,first within 6 months of purchase got it warrantied,then again 3 months after it went out of warranty,paid to get it fixed,lasted five months and it wore out again! I haven't fixed and is now a paper wieght in a drawer,fresh battery hit trigger won't even move 3mm.bull **** to pay$300 then $100 to fix and still be broken within in 2 years.im about ready to dump all my snap on cordless ****.

I have used my Milwaukee m12 cordless for at least a year so far and trouble free. Plus it's head is smaller than the snap on ratchet so it fits everywhere. I don't use it do break loose really tight fasteners so I don't worry about breaking it. I have regular ratchets for breaking really tight fasteners loose.

I have used both and I prefer the Milwaukee m12 because of its small size.

I should add that I use it daily and it's close to 2 years now that I think about it.

I've had mines for over a year, grease the head regularly. Know its limits, it wont take off stuck fasteners.

I use this one daily and like it better than the Milwaukee a much stronger head head and under rated power imo bought the 3/8 to match but the 1:4 is my go to

Had mine for over 2 years using it daily without any issues too

I'm surprised the IR stuff isn't more popular with you mechanics..

Always thought it would be cool if they made a remote battery pack, and designed a smaller ratchet with a 4' or 5' tether cord instead of one model that needed to fit batteries in the tool. Keep the battery on your belt or something...

Agree here. I started with an M12 and bought a Snap On 1/4 thinking it was an upgrade. While it is more durable the M12 is much more nimble due to its smaller size and smaller battery. I ended up trading mine back in less than a year. Don't miss it.

They do, it's called an air ratchet

I will add that matco has a cordless ratchet that is just slightly smaller than the Milwaukee I mean about a millimeter or 2 on the head. But i believe the body is about the same size.

I did a few jobs this week with this ratchet, it's freakin awesome!!!
I gave the Milwaukee to my brother. I have a ton of Milwaukee stuff and they were great about warranting the ratchet but the head just isn't strong enough for me.

I have the matco 1/4 and the snap on 1/4 both currently with broken heads. prefer the matco because of the size. but snap on head snapped like a twig tightening a bolt. ******** for the amount i spent on it while im waiting for a new matco head kit.

I can't speak about any of the 1/4" ratchets but this 3/8" Snap On kicks ***. I like to get things done and I'm not easy on tools. It costs much more than the Milwaukee but it's worth it to me.

1/4" ones are great too!!

I use mine on a daily basis and most of my techs grab it too. I like the advise on greasing the head going to do that first thing this morning!
