Much thanks to my SS. He/she didn't include their Username, but they sent me a Snap On beach towel.

I'm having trouble uploading photos at the moment, but will try to post them later. Both under the tree, unopened and opened.

Beerman

Ok. Here's the belated photos.

My gift was from Ray in California. Everything was spot on.
The twist ties are extremely useful as are the carbingers. The key ring and model are nice touches. The containers will be very useful as my last storage containers were full and a few drawers broke. As far as the Factory Five, it's on my bucket list to buy one of these days. I need to get at least 2 of the 3 Mustangs completed before bringing home a new project. :). I probably have enough spare parts to put one together relatively affordably.
Thank you for everything and Merry Christmas!

Thanks to my SS Beerman for these 2 fine examples of American tool manufacturing. A Proto 1/4" ratchet and a 3/8" S-K ratchet. I haven't had ratchets from either before so looking forward to trying them out. I have actually been thinking about picking up an S-K 3/4" drive ratchet to go with my socket set so in true Garage Journal fashion I'm sure the S-K will have 3 friends sooner than later.

Thank you and Merry Christmas. aaebf16d2c7c59cdd7b911aa3c527c1b.jpg

A nice sign to add to the shop, two cans of adult pop I haven't tried yet, some snacks , a franklin mint book and a small made in USA plane.

Cool stuff. Thanks!

Thank you Outlander!
Your gifts are awesome! Canadian made screwdriver set, a plate from Quebec, a very special pocket tool and A jar of Maple Butter that suffered ruff shipping.

So sorry about the Maple Butter. As I handed over the box I thought..." that isn't going to make it"

Glad you enjoyed the rest!

HUGE Thanks to Glen (Creativecars) for sending an awesome package my way! :rocker: Coming from the great state of Indiana, it was very nice to see some ND stuff made it's way!! ;) The Channellock tool hanger is beyond AWESOME and has me wondering if Glen made it. The Kershaw knife is now going on my keychain and the Camaro diecast is my 1st 6th gen diecast so to say the least, I am beaming!!!

Thank you so much Glen and Merry Christmas!!!! :D

Travis, as a recipient of a gift from Glen I would not be surprised that he did in fact make it!

I also just wanted to toss out a big Thank You!!! to the GJSS moderators. Once again another fantastic Secret Santa success which would not have been possible without all your efforts.

Regards, Duke

A big thank you to my SS Ohmthis!

He did a good job stalking, with some new and some old!

A vintage Dunlap Boxed Socket set, and a Dunlap Pipe wrench for the old, and a new Stanley Power lock tape measure, and a New LED Maglight flashlight (with batteries)

I especially like that the Maglight people managed to keep the beam focusl even with the LED bulb!

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks again! xmas

I haven't followed this thread since I signed up in November, but I sent my recipient's package out earlier this week and they should have received it Christmas Eve. I received mine Friday.

Big shout out to AnthonyJ124 for being my secret santa and doing such a great job of picking stuff out for me. Thanks man, I really appreciate it. Next time you're in my area, I'll get you your drink of choice.

Super happy that you liked the gifts! I picked up the ratchet set and I totally wished I had bought two sets... With the bowl I just figured how much candy that I would want (which is lots), and ran with it. Really interesting glass- I've never seen that stuff before and I felt like I learned something new. Merry Christmas!!

On to my gifts! I'm either missing something or there's no indication of what user had me. I can only assume they work for or with Edison and live in CA (I don't want to give out towns or names). Big thank you to who had me though- it's an excellent box of interesting stuff!

The package included; a rolls royce radio (my wife agreed that it's really cool), a bottle opener, wiseco piston keychain (I actually used to have the same one!), a ratcheting screwdriver with bit set, a multi tool (with flashlight, screwdriver and tape measure), a whiteline caliper, and the big finale is a MAC XR8 ratchet, X3E extension and a 13/16 socket. All very cool and well thought out gifts. All useful things I'll use to boot! Thank you and Merry Merry Christmas!!!

I received two awesome Snappy socket drivers and a gift card that will be used for some steak on tuesday[emoji3] I used the 3/8" driver to put some gifts together today. It's like my secret Santa morphed into my box and found what I was in need off. Thank you GJ67STANG for the great gift!!!e423f16c19367339a95397dd19088edd.jpg

I got hooked up by my SS. My father-in-law is even jealous. Excellent job sir!

The theme was electrical as he claims to be an Electrical Engineer. I got Klein, channelock, proto, Sears, milwaukee, and a Vaughn soft face hammer.

I am impressed and stoked to put it to use!

Opened my gift from Al Bundy this morning. It's like he has a direct view into my head - he identified one of my DAILY struggles and solved it. With 3 teenage daughters and a wife, I'm always challenged to find the charger cable for my phone and iPad because the kids keep moving them. I go to plug my phone in, right whee I left the cable yesterday, and it's GONE.

This solves everything, and looks great too!

Merry Christmas to you, Al Bundy and thanks for the thoughtful gift!

This was my first GJSS, and I'm already planning for next year!

Okay, pix as promised
SS hit the mark big time- must have read all my posts. I think I now have the full set of Art Deco Barcalo Buffalo DOE's. The Bridgeport X&Darts were a very pleasant surprise, and the Mac universals will let me ashcan the crappy cheapos i've been fighting. Love the Snap-On Ferrets, can't wait to get home and check the date codes
THANKS SSANTA AND HELPERS!

Well I got to open my secret Santa gift and I was really blown away by what was inside!!!

It was very well thought out! I really liked everything that was included, especially the vintage eye glass cleaner dispenser with some original product inside and the vintage GM polishing cloth tin. These are items I would have bought for myself if I had ran across them :)

I also got a 6-1 screwdriver from the Harry Epstein Company, My first ever Harry Epstein tool.

I got a Snap-On screwdriver, also the first ever Snap-on tool in DaBarn.

Bluebolt must have checked out my thread really close! He also got me some root beer flavored Dum Dum suckers and some Louisiana locally grown pecans.

Also included was a vintage Mr Goodwrench note pad and a really nice letter explaining all about the items included in my package and how Bluebolt acquired them (a really nice touch).

Thanks to Bluebolt and The Garage Journal for doing the secret Santa thread!!! Just awesome!!!

Merry Christmas to all xmas

QUOTE]

You didn't post in the Elves thread so I had to "stalk" you in your shop thread LOL. As I said I already had most of it, the hardest thing was sorting through all the Dum-Dums for the Root Beers!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and everyone who participated in the Garage Journal Secret Santa!

I'll have to see if I can find my black light bulb and get a picture of the bowl to show I like this kind of glass so much. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Here's my SS booty. Thank you to my SS unfortunately there wasn't any info on who was my secret santa. Thank you very much! Got some very nice gifts.

Pic #1 Kobalt screwdriver set. Extremely complete. Now just have to decide to put them in the garage or the basement.

Pic #2 Cleveland Browns program, pendant, and ticket pin from the first Cleveland Browns home game when they returned to Cleveland. Pretty cool gift! Funny story about that game. It was back when they only had ramps and I was in section of 537. Ended up going the wrong ramp and was exactly across the stadium from where my seats where. Asked usher the fastest way to my seats and he told to "Take a plane!" Good times! Too drunk!

Pic #3 Faroh's chocolate. Never had it before today. Very good.

Pic #4 Mechanix gloves. Fit great.

Great SS this year.

My Secret Santa was ckadams00.

Chris nicely wrapped and decorated a GJ themed box and it has been under our tree for a while. This morning I finally got to open it and he nailed it with Wilde pin punches, a kershaw knife (with sweet bottle opener), a pouch, and best of all, The Macallan 12 Double Cask scotch.

I've had Macallan and loved it but have not tried the double cask, I'm really excited to give it a try.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful and generous gift, Chris.

A very Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Glad it arrived intact! Happy Holidays!

Thanks to who every my SS is!

I received a nice estes rocket kit and the related material and engines for flight.

Although flying season is a few months away, this will give me a some great relaxing build time.

I don't have this kit, I look forward to getting it together.

Secret Santa, please let me know who you are!

Glad you can enjoy the items! I had vacation this week and me and my wife planned on visiting Stan Hewitt, so we basically drove right passed you house!

Just by the way, I also arranged for the Browns to win as part of your gift. :spit:

Merry Christmas, and also thanks to the organizers.

Got some awesome stuff again this year,

  • Sticky Pig Seasoning and BBQ Sauce (Made in Missouri) (Original & Jalepeno)
  • Beef & Summer Sausage (not pictured )
  • Darn Tough Merino Wool socks (Made in Vermont)
  • Chapman Bit Driver w/ Bits (Made in Connecticut)

Thank you Gary T.! I'm assuming the sauce and seasoning is local and you hit the spot with the USA goodness. Have a Merry Christmas!

I'm glad you liked. I made sure it was all made in the USA, and figured a few local treats would round things out.

i have become a big fan of those socks, I hope you like them as much as I do.

My Secret Santa surprised me. Must have done a bit of research. Wow is all I can say. A Corvette plaque for my office. A set of Channel Lock adjustable Wrenches. The worlds most stout nut driver...I am telling you this thing for as small as it is is a Tank. Just has that feel to it. A Key Chain made from Naval Brass that works as a wrench fitting SAE and Metric Hex heads...this will come in handy. And to top it off one of the nicest Deburring Tools I have ever had in my hand. Inside, outside...man this thing rocks. Just so happens I misplaced my old one about 2 months ago...so timing is prefect.

Kaane Thank you. You made my day!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!
(And get that Z06!!!!)

God Bless!!!

A BIG thank you goes out to my Secret Santa PugetDude!! The best way to describe it is a big box full of awesome.

I got (4) vintage license plates including a 1948 Pennsylvania. A vintage set of craftsman punch/chisels. I cool ball pein craftsman hammer that just happens to be the exact model and smaller brother to one I am currently bringing back to life after finding it on the side of the road.

I also got a couple of craftsman double open end wrenches of which I don't own any and an AWESOME stanley block plane. I don't have much experience with hand planes yet but I am looking forward to using it!

As if that wasn't enough, I also got a local shot glass and a very cool vintage stanley postmarked envelope from 1954.

What an awesome assortment of REALLY COOL stuff. I can't thank you enough PugetDude.

Merry Christmas to all of garage journal and a big thanks also needs to go out to the organizers of this event.

My GJSS was Trackwelder and his gifts blew me away. He obviously read my hints in the Elves thread.
First off was the new Snap-On deadblow hammer, mini screwdriver and F80 3/8" drive ratchet!
Then there was the mint Petersen DeWitt vise grips, a ProAmerica USA made 1/4" drive ratchet set, 6" vintage Crescent wrench and one of my favorites, the Craftsman vintage oil can.
The last item needs to come with a WARNING, the LED headlight is SUPER bright! I turned it on while looking at it and blinded myself, saw stars for a few minutes LOL.

Thanks much Trackwelder! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

6MocoA was my secret santa and he killed it!! I was blown away at my gifts. He went above and beyond any expectations I had for this year's secret santa. Even my wife was surprised and she barely knows the difference between a screwdriver and a hammer. He'll, even my son and cat Alfred were checking out all the treasures this morning.

The milwaukee screwdriver set is stunning to say the least, and the hose clamp pliers are those invaluable tools that will definitely come in handy working on Asian rides.

They will get plenty of use, and I'll wear the 22RE shirt proudly. Thank you so much!!

Quick86 was my not-so-secret Santa. I got a neat assortment of tools, all of which I'll get use from. The neatest item is the locking screwdriver holder. I've never seen one before. I need to find a place for it near my bench. It's pretty trick. The best of all was his letter. I am going to include one in my gifts from now on. Thanks a bunch, Kevin! I appreciate you.

Merry Christmas, all.
