Custom snap rings / retaining rings

I purchased a set of ratcheting flare nut wrenches and for some stupid *** reason OEMtools decided to use plastic retaining rings to keep the ratcheting wrench head together..

The wrenches are a wonderful design other than that fatal flaw.. I have already broken 2 of the plastic rings. So my question is can anyone in here fabricate custom retaining rings based on the rings I send you?

You should be able to get those from McMaster-Carr. Just measure what you have and find the same size on their charts.

There are all kinds of kits with various sizes you can buy for less then $25. Just get a universal kit.

I suppose I could do this and just modify a clip to my needs.

I keep universal kits for all kinds of misc hardware. Then if I'm in need of a better quality piece, I'll know the exact size and order accordingly. Anyhow good luck and a happy new hardwareyear to ya.
