Well I've got around to taking pics so here how I get things done in my garage. The garage opens to the west and is terrible in the summer months.
I've tweaked this layout over the 20 years we have lived here.
Here is the main central portion and the workbench I call the BEAST. This is placed where I can access it from both sides. Very heavy and I put cheap stick on floor tiles that I replace annually. I keep my 30 year old craftsman compressor under and my Wilton Vice on is mounted on it.
Then the north wall is mainly for storage -
This area and the old craftsman desk/workbench is dedicated to hardware storage - nails, screws etc. And various hammers and mallets are hung on the peg board above it.
The east wall has my "quick grab" tools on the pegboard and also has my old soft drink bottle collection.
The south wall has my Lowes Kobalt work bench for small projects, gun cleaning and some drafting. It also has my old bb gun mounted for quick grab for my continuing war on squirrels and grackles.
this wall also has my 41" Husky tool box that has the "good tools".
This side of the garage also is where I park my Harley and the wife's Honda scooter.
But the center part of the garage is where most of the work gets done.
It has the Craftsman compound miter saw and Ryobi drill press on a wheeled work station I move around.
Thanks for looking.
