been meaning to ask this for a while. I run through our neighborhood while its still dark out and I see several garages that appear to have some sort of UV light on in them. This is at like 4 or 5am and always the same houses. Is there some sort of use for a UV light that they would be leaving them on ALL the time? I could see for curing certain chemicals or whatever, but Im certain these folks are not doing that type of thing, if they even have a workbench in the garage! What am I missing?

Are you seeing a faint red glow? Could be from cameras. Mine look kind of reddish at night.

There's a couple around here that were sorta suspicious until I finally saw inside them. One in particular with a shady looking biker guy owner, turns out a nice guy with a ultraviolet beer sign from a bar hanging on the wall, garage was his "mancave". Other was college kids, same thing though they had lighted beer signs up in the garage where they hang out and smoke(landlord didn't allow smoking inside). I have a bugzapper hanging in mine that I fire up when the skeeters get bad, it drives my dog insane though.

I honestly hadn't thought it was suspicious. ..until now! Honestly, it's an upscale area with mostly retired and some active military. Guess u could belted they were moving there herb garden indoors during the winter? Although we only get a few nights below freezing here. Heck, my grass is still green. Although the ginger died last weekend.

well technically ultraviolet light is beyond violet light and not in the visible spectrum. It can't ordinarily be detected by the human eye. So I doubt you are seeing UV light...

probably either grow lights or camera's...
