Sorry guys but I have to post another picture we took in the shop last week. We got the body on the frame and wow it looks great. When we put my body on the frame on my 63 I was a nervous wreck. This one went on pretty smooth. The difficulty is we fiberglass the lower valance to the back of the corvette so it is one piece. It is suppose to be removable to make removing the body so much easier. We choose to make it look pretty and deal with the consequences of getting the body on.

I have got myself involved in another venture at the shop......JEEPS! I love trucks and it seems like the Jeep craze is pretty big so we are going to build some GodSpeed Jeeps. I bought two 2017 Jeeps. We will put lifts, 37" tires, custom bumpers, flares, custom leather interiors, and audio in them. Wish me luck!!

Here they are as they rolled off the truck......

Here is the first one with a 4" lift installed. Tires and wheels on the way.

The corvette looks great. The Jeeps sound like they will be very easy compared to the level of difficulty of other builds you have done.

Seen the Jeep deal on FB, interesting. Looking forward to the finished products!
Are you doing this in partnership with a dealer or buying and selling on your own?

We are doing quite a bit of stuff to the jeeps......lifts, LED lights, fenders, bumpers, interiors, ect. Here are some random shots. I hope to have one finished in the next few days to show you guys. First picture is $15,000 of Poison Spider Customs bumpers, flares, rock sliders, you name it. Guess I am going to keep an inventory and sell the Jeep products as well.

Here is a picture of Megan who runs my parts department and keeps the guys in line. She is posing with one of the new Holley Sniper EFI systems. Man these pieces are nice. I wouldn't even consider using the FAST EFI at this point because they are so user friendly. I highly recommend them.

Some really sweet setups and rides here. Kind of funny, I have and uncle named Mark that moved to Brandon, FL about a year ago. He's the uncle who got me interested in working on Hot Rods, we worked on and broke his 74 Vega with a 327SB in it over and over when I was in High School. I also bought a Fiero from him that started my small obsession with those during college. We want to go visit him some day, may have to swing down to Sarasota as well to see the shop.

Well done!

Yeah, the FAST systems are total junk, avoid them IMO

I do quite a bit of GM tuning, if you ever have any questions just let me know.

How much of that Poison Spyder stuff is sourced from offshore now that Transamerican owns the name?

Poison Spyder originated locally back in the early 2000's by a guy who started his 4x4 career as a 4Wheel Parts employee.

Mark, good ole garage journal, the forum where I first met you.

To all of your many fans, let me say this:

I've swept floors and scraped insulation just to be near the dream this man has made a reality. Mark is one of the most driven and passionate people I've met. If any of you are near Sarasota Florida, be sure to stop by his shop. You will get a rare glimpse of what true custom car/truck building CAN be. His drive for perfection and attention to detail is off the charts.

I'm so happy to see things growing exponentially for you each year Mark!

Best wishes for 2017 sir.

My son and I popped into the shop to see the Jeeps. All I can say is WOW. These things are eye popping. All I have heard about since is those jeeps. As expected the fit and finish are 110% and everything is tight and aligned. True pieces of rolling art.

step 1, get hit by lightening and bitten by a shark... Then I'll hit the powerball

Thank you so much. I am coming back from retirement and going to post up some pictures!

Here are some photos of the 48 GMC we have been working on. Needless to say I think the guys in my interior shop are some of the best out there. They are so creative and really knocked this interior out of the park.

Do you have photos of your interior shop?

Our interior shop is on the second floor of our facility. We have a 40 ft working table and a a few sewing machines. Fabrication of the interiors is done in the main shop on our router table and by hand. All the panels we hand fabricated and all out of plastic. I will about taking a few photos...a few machines.......a lot of talent with the guys.

Great thread. Thanks for sharing so much of your life, your shop is great and your crew is very talented. All of the vehicles are amazing, but that GMC truck is probably my favorite. Any chance we can get another shot of the rear, i would love to see more of how those tailights look, and an under the hood shot would be fantastic, thanks!

I think that it is one of those moments when you open the door, rest your hands on your knees and just slowly let it all sink in. That interior has so many good points. After all that sculpting and inserts then you notice that the edge trim has been trimmed as well.
So can you tell us what the seat was originally from?

Outstanding shop and work on your cars.
I am only on page 14 of this thread, but from what I see you have great attention to detail.

Funny I did not take any photos of the truck that day. I am wondering if I can post a you tube video on here because I do have a short movie. The truck will be back soon and I will get some pictures of the back. It is real clean on the back with 4 led lights low under the tailgate in the pan.

The GMC is incredible !

Yes the guys really did an awesome job.

Interior and truck both look fantastic.

Thank you!

So can you tell us what the seat was originally from?

The seat was new and it came from Wise Guys. Jesse literally added layers of foam and sculpted it with an electric carving knife. Here it is with the foam. If I had to charge retail for the seat with seat, materials, and time it would be $8000. Obviously I had to mark my labor down!!

Greetings!
I'm wondering what type of bed wood and surface treatment for protection?
Thank you!

The bed was oak. We just used Minwax and some satin spar urethane. Too many people use the gloss and it doesn't give the same effect as the satin.

Outstanding shop and work on your cars.

Well, I guess you have a ways to go:bounce: Hurry up and meet us here at the end please.

Oh my god.... that GMC is BAD ***!!!!

Thank you.

Here are the Jeeps I am building. Anyone want to buy a jeep? :thumb: I bought four 2017 Jeep JK's and had them shipped in from Texas. They are brand new with only a few miles.......here are some pictures of two I have build so far.
