OK, so I bought some hazet 600N wrenches in my most used sizes, 8, 10, 13, 17 and 19mm. I now want to upgrade to a full set of these wrenches. Should I:
a) Buy individual wrenches and complete the set?
b Buy a set and a have doubles in my key sizes?
c) Buy a set and sell the extras?

So I guess I need to ask you guys (as well as the above):
a) anyone want to buy a brand new set of 8,10,13,17,19 hazet 600n wrenches?
b) anyone have individuals in the sizes I don't have that they want to sell?

Those are great wrenches, although they might be hard to sell in that assortment. Price out the ones that are missing and compare to what a set would cost you. Try Samstagsales.com as a reference point. They are nice folks.

If you have friends in Germany, they are less expensive there, even with the Euro at $1.50.

OP: are you going to get the 600N/17 set? If so, I will be quite jealous.

Assuming I did my math right -- looking at samtags prices, which are probably representative of what you can find here in the States, you save $.04 (yep, 4 cents) getting the set vs individual wrenches. Therefore, I'd say it makes sense to buy just the wrenches you want/need to complete whatever set you want.

Having duplicate wrenches is handy, so you want a set buy it, but for myself I would just keep my eyes opens and buy more as it shows up.

garfunkle, would you mind posting a photo or two of your new wrenches? i am strongly considering some german tools and hazet is on my list.

on another note, i was in munich, dachau, mittenwald, and salzburg in may and didn't see one hardware store. course, i wasn't looking too hard so hopefully you'll have some luck.
