Wait till they start licking that PB off without setting the trap. :headscrat

I prefer to use a piece of Twizzler.

I've encountered that problem in the past especially on traps that don't quite have that hair trigger from the factory. But by accident I found that mice are greedy (and stupid). They can lick the outside of the trigger until the brass is polished but if a little tiny bit of peanut butter remains stuck inside they will come back for it and eventually set that trap off.
Never tried twizzler or chocolate but I'm sure that works too. If I'm feeling especially twisted I'll sprinkle a little bird seed onto the soft peanut butter.

What is the difference between a winter mouse trap and a regular mouse trap?

As many responses noted correctly its just that mice tend to be outside in warm weather and then move into your mouse motel come cold weather. But they still come and go daily and can be trapped along their usual routes through the garage.
Last year I got 10 total and so far this year I'm at 2 without checking the "trap line" for today. Destructive little buggers!

Last night I was at least able to move a few more things around in the garage and helped my son diagnose his starting issue and replace the batteries in his 2002 Duramax. We had to change them outside in a slight rain, this not having a shop kind of *****.

Added a "splitting post" to the kindling box. My kindling has always been old kiln dried lumber or plywood/osb. Often times, I have pieces of 2x4 and would sit them on the edge of the wood crate and split them with a hatchet (which I got for my 10th birthday back in '79). It's been hard on the crate and I beefed it up a few times. I was looking at it today and decided it was time to make it right. I screwed a 2x6 on one side and a 2x10 on the other. I topped it with a piece of 1/2" plywood that I can replace in the future if need be.

Finished up the coat rack tonight. Then, I brought it in and mounted it to the wall. Kind of a crappy pic, but the wife is happy so life is good.

Untangling some PVC flex conduit which I'll be using next week to encase some 1/0 power cable which I'll be routing under my Suburban to feed a power accessories box and a future rear hitch winch mount.

Guts of the cargo area power box. It will be able to power / recharge just about anything. 12v power ports / cig lighter sockets, 5v USB ports, Anderson power port couplings, 110VAC via 1000W inverter or a ~110W plug in inverter.

And I'm planning a future vehicle-mounted / -borne solar panel system. The solar charge controller and some additional scooter batteries will fit in the box, too. Batteries are mocked up with wood blocks in the above photo.

Put the FI Tech fuel injection system back on the Ramcharger after having to send it back to replace the ECU. I got the unit back with out any notes or information about what they had done, but they did through in a new main harness which I figure was no big deal since I had the old harness installed so I threw the new harness to the side. I figured it would take 20 minutes to complete since I already had the wiring harness installed so it should have been a plug and play deal. I had everything installed and went to plug in the main harness and they had reconfigured the harness which now had two plugs instead of one. So I had to rip out the old harness and install the new harness which added about two hours to the job because I had tied the harness into my existing wire loom to avoid the engine bay spaghetti look.

Dang, that's a lot of work & headache. I just bought a new Edelbrock 600 for our old Power Wagon to replace the 2 bbl. I also just got a Holley Street Avenger for my 383 Barracuda. I have buddies who bought the fitech & are in the process of planning the install. They have been giving me a hard time about buying carbs when cheap FI is now out.

Dude that pic is way too big!!

But i love the old m/t covers. I had a set on a trans am.

What is it with that efitech stuff? Seems like either it works great or its a nightmare. I've heard enough war stories to be very wary now. I'm wondering how the holley sniper system is going to do once people start using it.

I made this wheel set for moving light truck frames around the shop and into storage. When placed at the balance point, this is nearly a one handed move.
The wheels were free and the material is croppings.
In December, I bought a 246.5 inch frame and it may need heavier duty dolly/mover.

"in my garage"? It is -27*C this morning and my garage is not insulated. It was lucky I even took a picture of it from the house this morning.

Painted all cabinet doors, 15 of them! Gotta cut some pieces for the frames then it's paint that and finish assembling.

New girlfriend hinted at maybe a new place when it comes to a point.....I said ****, it better involve a 40x68! She was dumbfounded!

Found out that when the saw cuts in a garage floor are too narrow for the readily available backer rod, you can stuff several courses of twine down there to use less sealer.

I purchased a cellular signal booster for my shop and got it put up the other day. Since my shop is all metal, as most are, I get zero reception inside. I did my research and figured out what I needed. Basically it's an external antenna for the roof, a booster, then an internal antenna. I now have 5 bars inside my shop.
External mounted up and pointed toward the nearest tower.

Do you have a thread on this? My house has crappy reception (either standing very still in one corner of an upstairs bedroom or out on the driveway which gets mighty chilly in the winter), so doing something like this would be a big quality of life improvement for us.

Check with your cellular provider too. My parents get the same sort of reception at their home. Talked to verizon and threatened to cancel and verizon provided a little box that you plug into your internet source (ie router) and it creates a hotspot basically for the house. Get full service there now. Of note though only works for verizon phones (so the gf who has att still doesnt get service) and if the internet goes down so does the cell service.

I have T mobile service and had the same issue. They gave me a booster free. Just paid a refundable deposit. I am close enough to the tower but have a mobile home which is basically a metal box.

My Shelby's tires lost air over the winter so I filled them back up to avoid any cracking...

Battery also died. I didn't put it on a trickle charger this year. Took that out and put it on the charger in the basement.
