I have lots of pullers. Not all old but a few are. I just got this a week ago. I have seen many of these sets over the years and this one was the most complete and perfect condition one of these I recall. It also has the box, always a plus in my book.

This is a Plomb 4001A. I remember several times in my working on cars and trucks that I could have made good use of this. Not having it meant I didn't get the work. No telling if I will ever have call to use it now that I have one but this terrific puller will do the job if needed.

very nice, I made a big mistake years ago that I still kick myself in the **** every now and then; I went to a garage sale and the man had an old shoe box with tons of small puller parts and I asked if everything was all there. He gave me a odd look of I think it is all there but not sure type of look.

Stupid me I passed it up, he had so many guys pushing and shoving I had no time to put the parts together but I bet you he was right who knows???

There are hundreds of styles and sizes of pullers. They even come in price ranges. You pay for the name Snap On as usual but those are good pullers. Depends on what you what it for. Sometimes the Chinese puller is a good value, sometimes not.

The puller I posted is called a wheel puller and is not used much anymore. To do brake work on older cars you may need that tool.

They do still have a use, I have been looking for a proto one for my box for a few years. I use that style at least once a month, just not 8n cars.

Saying you need A puller is like saying you need A screwdriver. Just saying :spit:

Usually if the price is right the tool is missing parts or has messed up threads. Paid a good price for this, $86, a couple of weeks ago. Buy It Now, eBay. It's a Plomb and seems you can tell by the weight of it. Large pusher screw has much tighter threads than the 4021 puller by Plomb I also own. Tighter screw threads are good. Means more power, really.

The box and the rest are all in great shape. Used but never abused.

turfgnome, What do you use yours on? Not on cars? Maybe you mean trucks but I'm thinking something that's unexpected.
