Yes if you do a price check in the self-checkout area it shows actual price. I've never seen stand-alone price-check things in a HD...

The Welder is a old/new SKU replacement update, so there will probably be very limited availability as I don't think stores stock that many welders.

Will price check scanners(not kiosk) show actual price or sticker price? Scanned Lincoln welder at two different stores and they both showed sticker price of 419.00. Question was answered a long time ago, but just want to make sure it's still that way. Have not shopped at the Depot in a few years.

They will show the actual price in most instances. Some times those will show 'item not found' while the register system will show it a penny or regular price. Most of the times 'item not found' means it's a penny.

He's in MA, they have price check scanners in some of the aisles, about every 3rd aisle. The systems are not the same, some times there is a price difference but that is rare.

Thanks. One more store worth checking for me. Will post back with results.

So if for example an item goes from $250.00 to $125.00 (50% off) is there any general rule how long it'll stay there before falling further, if at all?

I'm just not sure about the .00's?

.00 is generally a LONG time. It's definitely not like an .06. In my area, a lot of light bulb and power tools go .00 and stay there basically forever. Especially if it's a decent discount like 50%, I won't expect it to drop any more. If it's only a small discount, I'll expect it to drop more but when is anyones guess.

Nope.
If it's a great deal it could sell out that day.
If it is an unwanted item could stay on the shelf and fall further in price.
Also could be your area the items never goes on sale. Each store is unique, so best for you to spend some time their and learn how they work discounts.

Thanks guys. I had the same feeling on the .00, just wanted to confirm. These just went from $249.00 to $124.00 in my district. I hate Dewalt but couldn't say no.

They have already been posted for 74 an 24 in this thread, should have waited...

Maybe we can wait, but you're also chancing joe-schmo thinking it is a good deal, even if they don't look at this thread. Some items just don't last long enough to make it to what other areas have got down to.

No way that was 399, listed at 99 online

Yeah I had the same thought when I saw it a couple hours ago. I think that combo was initially $129 or less.

It's still a decent deal at $99 if you need a drill and light. The single battery thing is a bummer though.

I dunno. I just looked online and found it for $99 also.

I hadn't realized Home Depot started doing like Harbor Freight with the fake original prices. Lol

Bmoore I am guessing you might be a MET for hd. Only MET has access to that many stickers all laid out nicely to photograph.

I heard Harbor freight might have a HUGE tent sale this weekend, and next, and the following and the one after that and, well you get the point.

I have seen them laid out like that when they are looking for the stuff. They also have a night met team that travels and does big resets.

Or he grabbed the stickers off a shelf or met cart somewhere. But yea, I have seen them arranged like that on the carts too.

Doesn't look like the typical MET cart in the background. More likely he collected these over time and is just posting them now. I picked up a few of those Ryobi cases for a penny a couple months ago with the same date on the yellow tag so it's been awhile since it hit penny status.

Also note that in many stores when you see the penny tags laying on the MET carts if you look at the back of the sticker they write down the qty of that item that they're showing in inventory.

Thanks for posting these!

Got this exact kit around Christmas for like $60 with the one key kit discount. It was $99 original price.

Had the same. Showed 17 and didn't find a one. Didn't have 17 telescoping ladders total in the aisle. So i went out back and found the holding pen. Had a ton there but they were all the 300lb one. Didn't' check to see if they switched the numbers of inventory.

I'm thinking MET cart as I have often followed the around the store to see what they pull off the shelves and into an unattended cart.
