Landscape fabric under Racedeck

I'm thinking of going with the Racedeck FreeFlow. But I'm stumped on the mechanics of how landscape fabric can reduce the noise level of the floor? I would think it would be the connections that are making noise. Can someone explain that? I can see how it might improve the looks of the open FreeFlow tiles though if your concrete is stained etc.

Also I understand the FreeFlow doesn't expand as much as the solid tiles. Can I reduce the gap between the wall and tile then for appearance sake if using the FreeFlow instead?

The 'sound' you are referring to is virtually non-existent with our patented FreeFlow. The open rib design eliminates the slight drum effect in a solid top modular surface.

Thanks Jorgen, that's good to know. What's the smallest gap I can get by with? I really don't want to have to put any molding down.

You can go much closer to the wall with FreeFlow, but it really depends on the size floor, sunlight exposure and daily temp swings
