Dake press 75 ton. Should I restore or sell it?

I have a decent Dake 75H that still works great. I got it with the intention of painting it and rebuilding everything but time is always an issue for me in the shop. So just wondering if anyone had an idea what these were worth and actually selling for. I figure 1500-2000 on craigslist would go pretty quick. Or I spend 1k or so and make it like new again.

Sounds like a fair price if everything is in good shape. But I gotta ask that's a badass press, you don't have a need? And if you do sell it, where ya located ;)

I need a press. It's just a little big footprint for my home shop. I don't ever have a need for 75 tons. So would prolly just get a nice 50 ton baileigh for 2k. Even swap. I'm just outside of Chicago. No question these are the best presses ever made. Fully restored and perfect its with 4K all day.

It needs a few other parts to make it perfect. New cables, gauge, table pins, screw adjuster is a little bent etc. dake parts are not cheap by any means. But yes all cleaned and repainted and fixed up will increase the value greatly. The whole press need s to be stripped down and repainted to original color. Someone painted it blue.

What the hell are you doing asking if anyone knows what its worth and then telling us what it will trade for and sell for when restored? If you want to sell it, you are obviously aware of craigslist or the classifieds here. If you want to keep it, show us your progress in a thread.
