WOW, $50 dollars off, that's Un-*******-Believable!
I'm not sure I can continue on, I'm coming, Elizabeth!
Oh, or maybe that's just a .06 wait for it... .03 wait for it... horse with a long nail sticking out of it's head (don't say penny) item.
Thank you SO much for posting that "sneak peek"
I've been lurking here for a long time and haven't posted anything (they tell me I'm not "Smart" enough to have a phone). I used to be on various HD clearance threads (incl. slickstools) back as far as '06. Who remembers that individual (pre HD data breach) who offered to dump the internal API with keys for $$$$. Good Times. I doubt Coralnut would've approved.
The way the moderators/owner chose to handle this type of thread is admirable, as I can imagine there was a HUGE spike in traffic for a while. Deals posted here (tools/materials are $$$$) have helped 3 organizations that I know of to rebuild from damages and destruction on their own without having to sign away their souls for fed. funds. Rant over and thanks to those who post here.
Lmao. I like this guy!

I know exactly what I'm talking about. As mentioned, those aren't even the .06 prices for those items.

What is the HD sku on these? Are they decent discs? Kinda partial to the Diablo and Dewalt discs since they seem to last a heck of a lot longer than the cheapies.

Not really, no. 62 thou ***** for cutting. It'll get the job done and at the price maybe hard to refuse for hobby work. If you're making a living with them though it's worth just paying full price for .040 or .045.

I've only recently come to the realization that cheap abrasives just don't pay.

Last night I had a Porter Cable grinding wheel on my grinder, it was just "rubbing" the work. I loaded up a nice SAIT and holy ****!

If you notice I responded to your post that said they haven't been less than 200.00 in years. I didn't say the 06 prices were correct.

If you notice I first said I knew what I'm talking about. It was only AFTER I said this I mentioned .06 pricing.

Please enlighten us then as to the last time they have been lower than 200 AND in stock to purchase.

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion cutting through some 3/8" plate a couple of weeks back. I went through 3 discs to make 1-1/2 8-10" cuts. Couple of Forneys and a Skil I found on clearance somewhere. Broke out the Diablo and it went through the rest of the plate, and I've used it to cut half a dozen other things and has maybe worn 1/4" at most.

Searched all over the lumber area and none of those multi-ladders exist at my store, oh well...

They didn't have that nifty hose reel at my store, but they did have a bunch of other little lawn things on clearance. I got some of those metal pine cone hose guides to replace the cheap plastic ones I have now.

All of the firehose looking nozzles were gone, lol. Would of been neat to have one of those. Those pocket hoses were discounted considerably, I don't know how well they work but would most definitly be worth grabbing if you had an RV or something.

All my toolboxes are still full price except they finally dropped the couple dewalt bottom's a little.

Finally, they must have found some extra Ecosmart bulbs because these were discounted a while back if I recall. Grabbed the last two 8pk boxes. They look identical to the current ones, just different SKU in the corner.

Little folding tables are on clearance at one of my stores. Hopefully I attached the image correctly.

Never mind, I don't see clearance anywhere on the tag and price online is the same.

If anybody can find any of these, I need 6 bulbs. I have looked everywhere and can not find any. I would gladly trade for an extra Klein IR thermometer or cash!

I don't know if this has been discussed, but I think that HD is discontinuing the Milwaukee 2763 Fuel high torque impact. My secondary store has them marked down to $180, but they're ringing up at $160.

Only some stores. All depends on volume of sales. I did see it for $180 before selling out at one store, next store over had it back up to $219

Menards 11% finally started today. Runs thru the 18th

Could someone clarify what exactly goes on with this?

Is it as simple as any purchases made at HD during the stated period can have the receipts submitted and you'll get 11% back?

Seems to simple/good to be true.

Any limitations?

Had another "First" at HD.

Walked the store, looking for a few of the recent posted items.

Then I went to a terminal and checked the app for prices/inventory.

I found 5 clearance items on the floor. For example, two of the Milwaukee tops, marked down to $219.06 with yellow tags but in the system they were priced at 299.06.

Finding it odd that the system showed a higher price than the tags, I went back to note prices on other items and check the terminal again. Every item was tagged cheaper than the system showed.

That's a first for me in seeing that, almost bought some cheap sockets just to see if the POS matched the terminal or the tag. In years of doing this, I've never found a tag price below the app price. It is either correct or system price cheaper than the tag price.

Hmm. Just had the same thing happen last night. B&D Chainsaw with a sticker price of $6x, but in the system as $9x.06. New one for me too.

What goes on is you won't get your rebate. You call somewhere in India and speak to someone who barely speaks English who tells you that your purchase did not qualify, but they cannot tell you why. You argue with them for a while longer, then you finally ask for a supervisor and miraculously your rebate is approved.

They work hard to make it a pain in the ***, and they do an excellent job at it.

If you plan to try for this, just be ready to work for it.

Is this your personal experience? I would have rejected your rebate too per their terms, if the purchase was done where you posted your location. If you don't have a Menards near you, then you won't qualify. I have read of people calling and getting it approved, but at that point you should know it will be a challenge.

Don't get me wrong, best of luck, and you are only out a stamp (or 2 depending on stack of receipts), but your experience is not like many others.

Crazy too, when I had a problem, I spoke with a good 'ole USA representative ( that might due to time of day calling).

The first ones i submitted went through no problems. Even had high dollar purchases outside the marked window but within 60 days. All approved right away with no issues.

Just submitted 9 more a month or so ago and have contacted them 3 times so far. Still "up for review" by management but they said they should be complete by next week. :dunno:

I don't see a February 11% things for HD... Just the January PDF... But under their terms they don't specify and particular states or stores so one would think it could be valid anywhere.

I don't remember making any big purchases in Jan that I would even bother doing the MIR... Usually if I do plan on something big I just grab my neighbor that is active military and he gets 10% off...

So I had a first today. I found a bunch of the pass through sockets that are stated to be a penny. I started ringing them up and some sizes were a penny but some still rang up at the .03 price point. I thought I was screwed because then the manager came over and wanted to help me.

He saw some were a penny and some were not. He didn't lower them to penny but he took 5 bucks off my total so when it was all said and done I got 12 sockets for 1.05. I wasn't gonna argue about that so I thanked him, took my loot and walked out.

He kept asking me though if anymore were on the shelf and I saw him send an employee to go look as I was collecting my stuff and leaving.

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Probably just wanted to get rid of them. They aren't exactly a high-dollar item (a complete set they have is like $20)...

Did you get a ratchet?
