Simple enough project. I wanted a way to keep my rod near the machine, keep it horizontal and dry.

Took a piece of .25" wall 2 3/4" pipe and cut it into 1 1/8" pieces.

Chucked them into the lathe and sanded them to look like this.

Arranged them into two stacks and welded them together.

built a bracket out of a 3" piece of .250" plate and drilled it to use the existing bolt holes in the machine. I replaced the existing bolts with some SS ones I had laying around.

This allows it to be unbolted and leave no witness marks it was ever mounted.

Standard Schedule 40 PVC and there it is.

Nice! I am tossing around something for my Dynasty 350. Though I doubt I'll need the variety that you're dealing with. Clean, simple...spot on.

I really like that. When it's loaded up with wire is it still stable? Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like just a flat bar is supporting the uprights, so I'd assume you are seeing a bit of twist.

The Synchrowave with bottle weighs over 500 Lbs. without the rack. I kept the center of mass over the wheels so it has no tipping tendencies at all.

The flat bar is 1/4" thick, and the schedule 40 PVC is glued together and fastened to the steel. So as a unit it is like a roll cage.

It is really rigid, in fact it is the "push bar" I use to wheel the machine around the shop.

Nice! Turned out great. What's the over under on those labels lasting more than a month?

looks good and seems practical, but drilling into the side of my welder would drive me crazy.

Practical, not seeing that, I 'm betting changing the shielding gas is going to be a dream/nightmare.

"I put the used pieces back in and if it was vertical I would have to take the thing apart to get the ones I can't reach."

Going to have the same problem, after 6 or 8" of the filler used..

Cheers fwiw,
Greg
