Just putting this out. If anybody got in on the husky pass through sockets and are willingly to help a brother out let me know. I was able to get all the sizes to complete a set in metric and sae except for 12 mm. I have a couple extras in other sizes.

PM me if you got a 12mm and are willingly to part with it. I can cover a small fee/shipping. Thanks

I got you boo

The tool box grill man was putting wheels on two 60 inch Milwaukee that must have been up high and lost at one store. They also had the $448 box down to $336 because of dent on front.

i called multiple stores that had showed the $50 milwuakee top box in stock. they all said they only had the sets. one lady offered to research and call me back. when she did, she said the manager had ordered bottoms for the clearance tops. and that was why they didn't have the tops on clearance even though they showed in stock.

If you can get your hands on one w SKU ending in 1 just take it to the register

So I am new to garage journal, but I found several good deals as a result of this forum. The best deals so far... was a 22ft Werner ladder for 30, my 300lb ladder was 169, also a Milwaukee tool chest for 349 regular 698. I have got smaller deals as well, bit holders and magnets. I am also building a garage, what brought me here, I also don't buy it all, I get what I need, don't have time or want the hassle of trying to resell, plus there may be other people like me on here that are close enough to my stores. I do wish I had gotten2 of those toolboxes, but oh well I did get one. I have talked to the store asst Mgr and he told me that if he saw 1 cent items he took and donated them, obviously some stores don't, in talking w a few long time employee there is a date on clearance merchandise and it drops every 30 days, they showed me the date in the sticker. I don't typically buy garbage, my wife says I usually buy the best. There are deals but it is definitely a chase and sometimes you get lucky!!

Went in my local Home Depot today looking to see if this deal was available. When I walked in, I went over to the tool section. None on display. There were two old men employees talking leaning on a tool box. I asked them if they had the 60" Milwaukee in stock and they said, "yeah, but it takes up too much space on the floor, so we put it up on the shelves." I asked for a price on it, they said, "$498, or $598". Real good customer support Home Depot.... They probably were going to look into this deal to scoop it up for themselves or saving it on the upper racks until they were ready to purchase it. Scumbags.

Overall, this is a great thread! I'll be in tune with this one!

the 349 price was for 1 store for a very short time and you had to pay a 75 shipping on top of the 349. so the 498 isn't a bad price for that tool chest!

That guy should have actually read this thread and the other one and he would have known what you just explained to him.

Interesting 1st post from the guy.

We'll if you actually read about this deal, you would know it was for a few day period several weeks ago, required to be purchased from a specific store and also required shipping.

No reason to be trashing and name calling HD guys when you don'teven know how the deal worked...

Was able to do a return & rebuy on my $75.03 Milwaukee 46" upper to $50.00. First time I ever attempted without bringing the product in but it worked.

Some stores do it, some don't and even within stores, some employees are cool, others are not. That's a nice deal at $75, a steal at 50. congrats.

I once had a head cashier basically ask for someones head when I walked in to return/rebuy something *actually carrying the item*. She said there is absolutely no reason for me to have had to go home and get the item just to come in and have it re-rung. Even went as far as asking who told me to do it and then she told me she was the head cashier in the store and if I ever had any questions or trouble, ask for her by name.

Ive gotten a few price adjustments in my days of going to HD and that was the only time I "had to" have the item present. Luckily it wasnt anything big or heavy.

I was hasseled by a manager when I asked for the same thing. He tried to tell me that they don't price adjust clearance items. I asked him to show me the policy. He told me he'd print it out for me. After searching on the computer, he didn't find any exclusions for clearance items and he approved the return rebuy. It's quite a box for $50.

Sad that a manager doesn't know the companies policy.

Even sadder each store has their own rules that they change and break at will

No standard operating policies

I was even ready for that, but here's the thing: at $75.03 it was clearance (yellow). Now at $50 it's white and just shows NLP. So maybe you're returning a clearance item but you're buying a New Lower Price item.

Most stores literally invent store policy themselves and it is different depending on the employee. I've had them say they won't RR clearance items, won't RR a clearance item unless they have some inventory, etc. I've a manager tell me they cannot adjust the price up to last clearance if they won't sell a penny, then go to another store with pennies bar code blacked out and a sku written on the item.

Had one last week that wouldn't allow a 10% off discount "because it was a clearance item and it was already discounted". Yeah, ok. Went the next day and another employee took the discount off no problem.

The managers think you are just a normal customer and don't know how things work and you'll believe their lies. I've never seen store policies vary so much store to store. Lowes, walmart, target, etc. chain stores don't have policies that vary store to store any where close to HD.

So true, and that's the dilemma we shouldn't have to tell them how to do their jobs. We shouldn't have hold in our knowledge of the process so we don't come of as an insider.

Still though, sometimes it's best to fly under the radar and just wait for a different answer from a different employee. As I said, it's like the DMV.

Remember as a consumer you do hold some power with the customer surveys on each receipt. It won't effect immediate change but cumulatively corporate takes notice of the stores with negative feedback.

My local HD has rows of the big Milwaukee boxes for $598 and I expect them to drop as they haven't sold one for months. Not sure what you think a stale link on SD has to do with this thread. The Atlanta pricing was an anomaly or mistake and it seems that mostly GJ posters grabbed them all up. Most of the smokin deals here are grabbed up by people who find them by sheer luck, or those that browse once or twice per day.

Do you think the average Joe is just going to walk by a sliding miter saw for 80% off? This thread is great for letting us know what to keep our eyes out for, SD is discussing a deal that has been dead for weeks.

What it has to do with it, is SDer's watch what's posted here. People disputed this a few weeks ago. The reason reason why some things are very hard to find at .03, etc. is because some ***** on SD posted it at a higher price and those idiots cleared them out before the LCP drop. HD may not drop the Mil boxes more if there is enough traffic from SD and that place a fire hose of buyers. It's a frontpage deal so it's getting a lot of looks and the link alerting people to GJ isn't good as it will get even more lurkers here.

Yep. I asked one person for 10% off as I paced around my Weber i ended up getting. He said that was the lowest price possible, and quite adamant. Uhh... sure, so i pass on it then. As I'm checking out 5min later, I ask the cashier for some kind of discount because all I was buying was clearance. Not a problem, took 10% off. So I asked if she would do it for a grill I was considering. "Yep." Went and grabbed the grill, and of course my luck, a she went on break. I explained to the new cashier, and 5 seconds later, 10% off. So 2 of 3 employees within 300 sq. ft of each other thought I was good looking, I mean were kind enough when asked nicely.

I read somewhere and I can't remember where, but associates has the ability to discount X%, anything above that you need like an assistant manager which can do Y%, and anything beyond that needs the store manager which can do Z%... If I find it I will post in this thread.

I agree it ***** but not alot we can do about the SDer's... if we keep the deal to ourselves it makes the whole hot deals forum kinda pointless! All we can do is try to get the deals before they reach SD!

I think each associate is allowed to discount one person each day 10%. I think the max is $50 without a manager override. I think it was in the original '16 HD thread.

Yep. There is no uniformity to training, so many different policies or excuses, etc.

That is what they tell me. Found the Milwaukee hole saw set from black Friday for $30.Things should pickup on discount after their physical year. The dewalt lady rep was telling me about a mitre saw that was a good buy. I think it was the one from black Friday.
