I like em for a lot of things, especially small precision pliers and cutters. I hate the spring action when I put them away though. My pliers stand up on their sides in racks in the drawer, and the spring loaded ones don't fit right.
That is very true i wasnt even considering the spring action in those ergo styles. I have the wiha cutters its a totally different motion than traditional pliers have.I never cared for the springs until I bought a pair of these, I really like the thumb lock.

I forgot about those too. That thumb lock is really nice. Those are some of my favorite pliers, though I wish I had your version instead of the rebadged Irwins.I never cared for the springs until I bought a pair of these, I really like the thumb lock.

The words For Plastic on the handles aren't reminder enough? [emoji12]I took mine out, at first, but then put it back in --
It reminds me not to use the plastik cutters for hard wire
I learned in a life where anything can happen.....never say never[emoji89]I'm pro-spring and pro-no-spring. Both have their merits. i would never remove the spring from a pair of pliers that had one. .
