That is exactly what I'm saying... Items with "New Lower Price" are just regular stock items. But clearance items that is the last of that particular SKU and it drops out of the website system and will always say none in stock, even if there are. That's just the way HD works...

Maybe you are not aware there are several other boards similar to this one where deals are listed, and a few private boards. By the time it gets to SD it's already over. People blame SD for a lot of things, but the reality is it seems to have little practical effect on anything.

We all want good deals, but I don't see why you are upset about stores selling clearance items before they drop to the penny price? Seems like that is rather the point.

When I did an online order during the holidays, my store pulled the Diablo hole saws for my order. I doubt many made that mistake, but it seemed my store did it more than once, resulting in a much higher count of the Milwaukee kits.

They had the hole saw kit for 2 or 3 years now and the same problem every time: store shows stock but they are nowhere to be found. I suppose its possible they are small enough to "grow legs" and walk away.

I finally got a hold of one last year and think I paid the 30.00 price. It later dropped to .06 and .03 but I never bothered trying to get an adjustment.

Cant speak for the Diablo, but the Milwaukee is a nice set. Love their arbor setup.

Surprised you still have any of the pruning poles in stock.

I bought the $80 model (for $20), and while not fond of the saw-blade portion of it (wish it it was a hair thicker blade, and was connected stronger), I LOVE the pruner portion of it. I really wished I had it last year while clearing a lot of high up vines, but saved a ton of time yesterday. No ladder needed, and it makes quick cuts.

I also bought the middle priced model, as I thought that appeared to have a better blade, but I haven't tested it yet. Had a bout of summer weather come through, and thought I'd test my new yard equipment. (pruner, Milwaukee blower, Milwaukee string trimmer).

For some reason I didn't buy it. I'll go back this week and if they are still there I'll pick one up.

There is one for $10.03, reg price is $40 ish. The $20.03 one has pruner's that face upward and look like a birds mouth, the $10.03 one is the type that is open on the bottom and the cutter comes up to cut.

sku on the $10.03 one is 351-967

I found the hose cart at my store and I could use a new/sturdier hose cart, but damn that thing is ugly as hell. I can't believe the original price of $120 either.

Those pruners have dropped to the magical voodoo price at several stores around my area.

The Makita? Yeah it's saw only. There's a blade too. I bought one but returned it. It's been at $100 for a long time, much like their hammer drill at $180. I keep watching it but the price isn't moving.

Weird, my local store(s) never had the 74 price, were at 69 last I checked. Either way its worth a watch, I love my Milwaukee stuff but Ryobis "niche" tool selection seems better. And their cordless nailers are getting better reviews than the much more expensive Milwaukees.
