Is the blower test needed for your final/CO or are you doing it for your own information?
Its required for final CO. The county adopted the 2014 energy code which requires it. It passed. I have a few leaks to seal up around the doors that access my attic but other then that the house is pretty tight. The spray foam makes a huge difference. I knew about the leaks but i waited to fix them. If the house is too tight it will fail too and i would have to install an air exchanger.

Well good news! The house and shop have been finaled out! I have my CO to move in finally. After 3+ years of hard work, I've finally reached my goal. It didnt exactly go as planned but at least its done. I have lots of odds and ends to wrap up and plenty of small projects to keep me busy over the winter but its 98% complete! I'm moving in on Saturday!

The geothermal doesnt miss a beat and the house isnt even weather tight yet. I left it at 58 last night and when i got there the painter had it at 67. It will warm up the first floor 10 degrees in a matter of minutes. Its no joke. You have to remember i did the best of everything... insulation, window, doors. etc. It all adds up to make the house very efficient and weather tight.

The shop isnt heated yet because i didnt have it approved. I will probably put something in there this winter after i get my CO. Just a heat pump nothing special with AC for the summer. Everything is still open from above. Not sure how im going to hadle the second floor when the time comes. I need to meet with my HVAC guy on this.

Do you happen to have inlet and outlet temps on your loop during this cold snap? A local company quoted me 4x1700' loops for a minimum fluid temp of 44 degrees, or 4x1200 for 40 degrees in damp silt/clay for a 4 ton system which was a bit more pipe than I was expecting.

Its 800' per ton. I have a 3 ton downstairs and 2 ton upstairs. The loops are all tied together and they can share the loop. The company who does my HVAC doesn't usually do geothermal so they had another company come in and help put in the loops. I dug the trenches 5-6' in the ground and 4' wide. The other night when it was 3 degrees out the aux heat kicked on. Im not sure the temps on the loops there is no gauge.

Stunning!! Love the archway with railing on the stair landing as well as the other arch doorways. Way to think outside the box!

And the kitchen? Well, I just wet myself....:thumbup::beer:
