Hi All,

Just bought my first house in September. I'll skip to the good part... 20'x37' detached, heated workshop. Unfortunately, not tall enough for a lift right now but long term plans may include an addition with adequate height.

Here are some pictures of how it was when I moved in and a rough image of what I have in my head for layout. Walls will be slat wall all the way around and Swisstrax flooring (colours to be determined). Lighting needs drastic attention as well, LED makes the most sense just not sure what format yet.

Anyways, looking forward to snooping around here for cool ideas and sharing how my own setup develops!

DALLAS: i like the new place and love the new garage. nice looking plan too and do you own all those cars and bikes and stuff already or are they on the TO DO LIST?

also just an FYI if you have a wife or girlfriend in the picture it might be best for your health to get the insides and kitchen and bathrooms spiffed up first. then you'll have free time for YOU and your new MAN CAVE. if it's just you then to heck with the house like you say and looks like the garage will be first up.

welcome to the group.

Thanks guys.

Drivesitfar, currently I have the CRX ('86 Si) and an Aprilia Shiver. Hopefully expanding the bike fleet by one this year, something dual sport. Most of the equipment is within grasp. My old man has a shop so basically come the next round of updates or retirement, I'll be able to move what's there now up to my place. Girlfriend doesn't live with me for now but inside the house is pretty clean and recently updated. Furniture acquisition is still underway but that's pretty all.

Been busy lately in the shop. Recently got my balancer and tire machine! Due to the pony panel in the garage being a tad obsolete, it dictated replacement in order to support the 230V 15A requirements for the wheel balancer. So this was my first go at any type of residential electrical work (New panel, 4 ceiling receptacles for new LED fixtures, and the 6-15 receptacle). Garage is much brighter now for working in at any time of day lol.
