Needed some batteries for my ryobi trimmer, found them marked down. Also saw these makita batteries too.

It depends solely on zip. My store $324. The zip south of me, $199. And these are also actual in-store prices on the PCA. I tried working it to order from a $114 zip - either shipped or in-store pickup - but it won't let you.

I believe I spotted a couple Milwaukee top boxes- mostly because the have an inventory note on them from November- and there are 2 tops on the skid with 1 lower. The other skids have an upper and a lower so the count is one more top than bottom.

The store was closing so I didn't want to start asking questions this late and let the employees realize they may have a couple items they may want to purchase before I get back.

I should be able to find them in the PCA using the UPC code correct? Is there any way to distinguish which units are the discounted ones other than the UPC ending in a 1? I don't think I can pull off getting a ladder and checking out the UPC codes on the top shelf. Lol

No. Go tomorrow and ask 'em to pull the pallet down for you.

and I'm sure more than 1 store sold a solo top as part of a combo. So don't trust the QOH in PCA. I later learned my store sold me a -4 when I bought my solo top. The cashier voided and then entered their 1000-***-*** SKU.

However some districts don't have any solo tops and that SKU won't exist when you search it.

I'll just ask them to pull it down tomorrow and go from there. Thanks!

Not sure if these Makita deals have been posted, I may have missed them.
Also found a bunch of various outlet covers, outlets, and light fixtures on mark down.

Doors & windows aka millworks is great after hours, but during the day they're manned.

That's probably store specific, there seems to be someone working there all the time at my local stores.

Unfortunately my local stores don't seem to have any computers customers are permitted to use - but they will happily look something up for you if you want :(

That's BS (that store's policy), all terminals have a main screen (sometimes you have to launch it from the start menu), and there is a "public" section with your choice for web browser, price, check, and a couple other things.

Like has been said before, go during slow times, find a computer with no employees around and go to town... Or use a computer in the "pro" area (big exit door area)...

I managed to find one of the $99 Dewalt tops over the weekend. The bottom box was still marked at $249.

Yeah is anyone else in a district where the 36" DeWalt lowers are still $324? I'm curious what the next drop will be. HD now considers the upper discontinued so no way they're gonna let the lowers sit around forever at $324.

edit: or at $199 for that matter? What do they go to after $199?

If it is clearance price, instead of pennied, and they give me a hard time, I make the associate help me look for it. It is "sell-able" stock, so as long as you grab as many as you want in one go, why not have a second set of eyes? Just don't expect them to be any left if you leave some behind.

I'll do that too... If it's a clearance price (even one of the absurd low ones), they are more than happy to help search. Sometimes we find it, sometimes that Qty: 1 probably never existed...

It depends, I don't always trust the associates to tell me if they spot a clearance item, even if it is pre-penny. There's one guy at my store who I know wants the $50 Milwaukee uppers and wouldn't tell me if (we) found one with the appropriate UPC unless I was right there to also lay my eyes on it. He'd just say "none up here, sorry" and then buy it for himself later on.

Killer buy. Bought the last 3. Also got a 28 piece husky polished wrench set for $10.04.

They had 4 at the store near me at $84.06. I bought one hoping it will drop and I can do a return/rebuy soon. Anyone know the best way to keep my eye on the price or to get the sticker price in this pic?

If I were to find out that an associate knowingly lied to me about finding stock, I would be having a serious discussion with the Store Manager about them. There is a difference in between buying off hours, and knowingly lying to a customer about stock so as to buy it yourself. I have worked as a department manager for a few years, and any employee caught doing so would have a better than even chance of being let go.

I had to argue with 2 employees for 30 minutes to even get them to check. They finally decided it was easier to scan one of them than to keep arguing. Unfortunately it was a barcode for the set at $698.

I still insisted that there were more tops than bottoms but they wouldn't sell just a top. They told me the other bottom had to be there somewhere they just didn't know where.

Oh well. It was definitely worth a shot.

Today must be restock day. There is a ton of stuff in the clearance areas at my home depot.

The milwaukee m18 drill + battery + flashlight (2606-21L) is marked down to $84 with plenty in stock. There is also ONE M18 tool only 1/2" impact for $140.... I almost bought both but i figured i should console with all you GJ experts.... For those who want a piece this was in the anchorage HD.

There was also m18 hammer drill / impact / hackzall / radio sets with 2 batteries for $254 and a ridgid 18v brushless drill with 1.5ah battery for $69

i got trigger shy on everything and only left with some $6 4 tier shelving for my wifes kitchen pantry/closet

There were a handful of grills on clearance but nothing to get excited about. Probably last year stock they will clear out.

I just grabbed my first "Lincoln." I know many of you are saying that all the new pruners have the oval pole, but the one pictured here on the left is the new model, with a round pole, rings up at 30+. They have a "new" sticker on the packaging, different sku.

When I went through the self checkout, I stuck my nickel in, got a receipt, but the terminal screen just kept spinning and did not give me my change.

Was able to get the Milwaukee 46" base for the top I purchased. It was a pain. The only reason I was able to get it at this price is because they put the sticker on it. Actually they had the sticker on 3 of them but said they were supposed to be pairs. Which they have the correct UPC for the ones on sale. Got it for $240 and the top for $50. Not a bad deal.
Nice!
