Greetings all. I am getting ready to remove the log siding off of my detached garage to re-use on our home addition. I will be putting metal siding on the garage. It currently has green metal roof and doors so going to keep with that color theme and do green lower wainscoting and trim. However I am undecided on what to do for the upper portion color wise. Was wondering if I could see some pics of what color combo you all have used with the green? Pic below of current garage that log siding will be coming off of. TIA for any replies. --Brad--

Hey man! Personally I would go with white or light beige. My barns are white with green trim and would look way better with a green roof.

Since your house siding is dark it might be better to go with a dark upper siding. If you wanted to go lighter a clay color can look nice.

Might also consider a burgundy color. I've seen some burgundy/green combos that look nice.

thanks for the replies guys. Original plan was to paint the roof brown and go with brown bottom/tan upper with brown doors and trim. However since roof is already green as well as doors, and roof on house, figured may as well stay with green and do green lower. I'm thinking beige will look best to pull from the house which has beige trimmed windows and garage door of house addition is beige as well. If anybody else has some pics of their color combo with green, feel free to post them up. Thanks.

I like what you have.
It blends in with the trees.
Keep it dark or match the house.
(Maybe have the house match the garage?)

well, the house is full log, the garage is log slab siding. Can no longer get the exact rustic log that the house was built from (28 yrs ago), so we went stick built for addition and decided to use the matching log slab siding from the garage on it so it all blends together. I think we are going to go with dark green wainscoting and trim to tie in garage roof and house roof. Upper will be beige to tie into the tan window trim and garage door on house. Will probably be ordering the metal in next week or so. The garage is now naked as I stripped the log siding off of it this past weekend. It does have thin plywood on the exterior that was behind the log siding. Going to get 2x4's and add firing strips to screw the metal to.

Use core-ten corrugated metal. It will turn rusty and that is the finish. No paint, no worries!
